THE HYPE
Far from Priority One Credit Union's headquarters in South Pasadena, California, five members convened at the Los Angeles branch and complained loudly in the presence of other members, demanding to know "why doesn't anyone answer the phones." One of the members complains about all the "new charges and fees" the credit union has recently introduced and accuses the credit union of becoming "just like a bank." Another exclaims, "I don't even like going to your main office anymore. I go to the LAPDC."
Complaints like these have become increasingly more common even light of the fact that just a few months ago, COO, Beatrice Walker, unveiled the credit union's call center which she took full credit for designing and which she dubbed a "one-stop call center." Evidently, its not living up the the COO's hyperbole. So what happened and why is the recently launched call center failing and provoking frustrated members's to anger. What's more, it is also Ms. Walker who introduced added fees and charges that are now eliciting member complaints.
Ms. Walker arrived quietly and without fanfare to the credit union on June 1, 2009. On June 2, 2009, AVP, Rodger Smock, issued an announcement to all employees praising Ms. Walker's experience and expertise as a Chief Officer of Operations who possessed that talent to create new business, introduce new streams of income, and reduce spending. For all intents and purposes, Ms. Walker according to Mr. Smock, was the consummate executive, at least on paper. In reality, Ms. Walker like President Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. is unethical, dishonest, corrupt, manipulative and an almost complete failure as a strategist. Despite her far flung failures, she is being paid over $100,000 per year though we've yet to discover why she is being paid such a high and undeserved salary.
Before January 1, 2007, the date Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. began his appointment as President, the credit union was a thriving organization known for its helpful staff, dignified President, and quality products and services that didn't gouge members. Prior to January 1, 2007, annual employee turnover was approximated 1%. Not so since Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. became President and CEO and ushered in a period of decline.
It is the failures of President Wiggington that have forced the introduction of added fees and charges. In other words, members are paying for his bungling business decisions and misappropriation of spending and of his authority.
In an effort to reverse it's decaying public reputation, Training and Education Manager, Robert West, composed another of his absurd addresses which tried in earnest to draw attention away from the President's well-documented history of failures. Mr. West avoided all reference to the implementation of fees and charges just like those levied by banks. He never alluded to the many failed enterprises launched by the President and more recently, by the COO. He never mentioned deterioration of the credit union's once solid reputation or the denigration of employee morale.
In his address, the not-very-forthright Training and Education Manager states that one reason Priority One is different from every other credit union on earth is because it's a “financial fitness center” whose purpose is to help members “win with money” but conveniently avoids mentioning that at the end of 2009, the so-called financial fitness center ended the year more than $5 million in the negative.
THIS MONTH'S TOPIC
Because Beatrice Walker recently celebrated her one-year anniversary at Priority One, we've decided to dedicate this post almost entirely to her. We thought we'd review some of the products and services she's introduced, about her character and also provide a little information about her pre-Priority One employment.
Since her arrival, Ms. Walker has spent more than $150,000 on product and service development and another $150,000, approximately, on building a call center and remodeling of the South Pasadena and Burbank branches. As reported previously, she's also charged a $5000 laptop to the credit union. She has also been duplicitous in manipulating financial reporting practices, has used fear to subjugate employees, has ushered in a dynamic of class distinctions of "them" versus "us", has violated policies, and has earned the contempt of many staff members both in exempt and non-exempt personnel.
THE AGE OF WALKER
It was President Wiggington's vast business blunders, his voluntary immersion in embarrassing scandals, and his gross mismanagement of the credit union's finances that created the opportunity for Beatrice Walker to absorb some of his apparently, former authority over business.
Ms. Walker like the President is an opportunist. She is cunning, manipulative and has a deep disdain for rules, policies and laws. She arrived at Priority One on June 1, 2009 and by September 1, 2009, it was apparent she had won the Board's favor. In fact, the Board was smitten by her and apparently, Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, became enamored with Ms. Walker's promises that she could single-handedly improve business only if President Wiggington would not interfere with her endeavors. Mrs. Harris-Brooks agreed. The President was kicked to the metaphorical curb, losing much of his business-making authority to his COO and watching as she garnered more and more of the Board's support to almost everything she proposed to do. In October 2006, Directors, O. Glen Saffold, Thomas Gathers, and Janice Irving each stated that they selected Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. as Priority One's next President because what the credit union most needed was "a Black President". How things changed in a mere three-years. The Board selected Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. because he is Black but by 2010, they were fixated by the "White", Ms. Walker, and mesmerized by her promises of forthcoming success. So where's the success she promised?
WIGGINGTON'S MESS
Inarguable, Beatrice Walker arrived at a credit union inundated in problems borne out of President Wiggington's incompetence and abhorrent behaviors. That was outside of control and posed a daunting challenge.
However, Ms. Walker became blindsided by her aspirations to displace the inept President and by her inability to develop products and services meeting the needs and wants of Priority One's demographically diverse marketplaces. And though the credit union's losing streak throughout 2009 which ended with more than $5 million in loses was caused by the President's and Board of Director's deficient business decisions, in 2010, we've seen absolutely that attests to Ms. Walker's profound experience and expertise in business development, streamlining, and marketing. On the contrary, what we see is an officer who indulges in spending vast amounts of monies on projects which have yet to pan out. Her unbridled spending is overshadowed by her fascination with malicious gossip and boasting and like the President, a constant need to boast about her alleged superior abilities. It seems Ms. Walker has drank too much of the President's Kool-Aid.
PROFILING
Ms. Walker’s authority is fully empowered by Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks. We've recently learned that Ms Walker is quite proud of her influence over the Board Chair, knowing that Mrs. Harris-Brooks accepts everything she says at face value and without evidence. Ms. Walker is also aware that not one of the Directors understands the credit union's financial reports. There ignorance has provided her with an advantage over the governing body.
Though the success of any of Ms. Walker's products or services is yet to be seen, her greatest impact has been in terminating employees. In 2009, she terminated four employees because she determined they were unnecessary. In inearly 2010, she ordered more terminations including the termination of an AVP, a policy witer and a BSA Specialist though the reason for the second wave of termination is that she believed these persons to be the blogger, bloggers, and friends of the bloggers. It's like the Salem Witch Trials except without witches, a fair trial or evidence. And we thought it was only the President who suffered from delusions of persecution.
A NOT SO MYSTERIOUS COO
On www.naymz.com, Ms. Walker describes herself as the “COO @ Priority One Credit Union” and "responsible for the day-to-day operations of the credit union". Ms. Walker is being too modest. She is much more than your average run-a-the-mill COO. In her profile she alleges she began her employment at Priority One on July 1, 2009. This is untrue. We might have relegated the error of her start date to mere ignorance, but she also provides July 1, 2009 on her LinkedIn, Konnects, and Xing accounts. So why lie? Her actual and correct start date of employment was June 1, 2009.
This past June 1st, she told several employees that she was celebrating her one-year anniversary. So was her first day of employment at the credit union on June 1, 2009 or July 1, 2009? In fact, on June 3, 2009, we called her former employer, Electricore, Inc. in Santa Clarita and were told "She just quite last week without giving a notice." Apparently, she didn't provide the customary courtesy notice of two-weeks.
In her LinkedIn account she says she accepts consulting offers, new ventures and requests for her expertise and business deals. Considering her polarizing management style, her inability to create cohesive working relationship with staff, her inability to create equitable solutions, her preoccupation with malicious gossip, her excessive spending habits and failure to develop products and services that achieve their intended goals and we'd have to decline her invitation to contact her regarding any business-related dealings.
THE STORY OF HER ARRIVAL
Starting in August 2009, President Wiggington went about the South Pasadena branch exerting tremendous effort in letting employees know that he never met Beatrice Walker before her arrival at the credit union on June 1, 2009.
During one of the all-staff quarterly meetings, Ms. Walker stood before employees and said that a few months earlier, she found an ad in a newspaper seeking a COO. "I responded to the ad, got interviewed by the Board and got hired and that's how I got here. I met the President, for the first time, on the day I started working here."
Clearly, the President and COO entered into a campaign to ensure that employees became aware of the circumstances which led to Ms. Waker's hiring and placing immense emphasis that the two had never met prior to June 1, 2009. It was a lie.
Like Ms. Walker's fictitious story accusing some invisible group of employees of spreading rumors that she embezzled money while employed by Honda Federal Credit Union, her story of how she learned that the credit union was hoping to hire a COO, was another elaborate and frankly, disturbing lie, bringing attention to Ms. Walker's emotional motivations.
In 2008, three employees went to Applebee's restaurant located at 21 E. Main Street in the city of Alhambra, California. As they approached the entrance of the establishment, they observed President Wiggington leaving the restaurant with Beatrice Walker, though at the time, they did not know who she was.
Inexplicably, the employees ran and hid behind a parked car and watched as the President and Ms. Walker crossed the driveway, laughing loudly and clearly, knowing one another. OBVIOUSLY, the two knew each other long before Ms. Walker's arrival at the credit union on June 1, 2009.
STRATEGIST
Is Ms. Walker the well-honed strategist described in AVP, Rodger Smock's, June 2, 2009 memorandum? Here are some of the enterprises commissioned by Ms. Walker since her arrival at Priority One.
THE CALL CENTER
The call center was borne out of the failure caused by the President's $600,000 phone system which he purchased in 2008 and which was serve in lieu of a call enter. Unfortunately, the phone system has been marred by constant technical problems and has contributed to the credit union's amassing member services issues.
Ms. Walker began constructing the credit union's call center in late 2009. She made certain employees of all branches knew she was building a "one-stop call center" that would resolve all of the credit union's member service issues. Staff of the center would not only answer phones but also open new loan applications, transfer funds between member accounts, mail out membership applications, and answer a myriad of questions about products and services.
To date, Ms. Walker's highly advertised call center has proven it is not a one-stop center. What's more, by diverting all calls to the center, member service issues have actually increased. The center has proven to be cumbersome and ineffective and as a result, members frequently complain of having to wait on the phone 10-15-20 and sometimes 25 minutes, before their calls are answered.
Members are also complaining that Call Center representatives are inattentive and seem more concerned with cross-selling loans than they are listening to member concerns. They also allege that representatives are rushing them of the phone. So where's the "personal touch" Ms. Walker said her call center would provide to members?
But the call center isn't the only department plagued by service issues. On June 23rd, two members called a branch and complained that their voicemails were left with Credit Resolutions were never responded to, though the department's recorded message assures calls that voicemail messages will be responded to "within 24 hours."
AN OBSESSION WITH TITLES
COO, Beatrice Walker is an officer obsessed with titles. Since her arrival, she has created new spiffier titles which she grants to employees who are her cohorts.
DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Two months ago, the COO changed the title of her confidant, Director of Credit Resolutions, Yvonne Boutte, to Director of Project Management. The COO didn't announce the change in title to employees though the new title began to suddenly appear in emails sent by Mrs. Boutte. So what is a Director of Project Management? Was the appointment of the new title accompanied by an increase in salary? What motivated the change in title? How will the new title help improve business? What we have noticed is that she continues to oversee credit resolutions with apparently no changes to her assigned responsibilities.
CFO
Approximately three months ago, the COO introduced Financial Planner, Saeid Raad, formerly of FOCUS ONE Community Credit Union, to the Board of Directors. She easily convinced the Board that Mr. Raad would make an excellent interim CFO while the credit union searched for a permanent CFO to fill the position vacated by Manny Gaitmaitan at the end of December 2009. So the Board agreed to hire Mr. Raad the Financial Planner to serve in the capacity of temporary interim CFO at a salary in excess of $100,000 per year.
A selling point made by Ms. Walker was that Mr. Raad would be fully cooperative and flexible with following the Board's and President's directions regarding financial reporting. Is hiring a temporary CFO who is being paid in excess of $100,000 per year yet another example of how Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. is "streamling" and "working smarter"?
JOSEPH GARCIA
This past January, Ms. Walker transferred Redlands Branch Manager, Joseph Garcia, aka as JG and JJ, to South Pasadena to serve as the temporary and interim Call Center Supervisor until a permanent supervisor was hired.
Two weeks following his arrival, the credit union announced that Mr. Garcia had accepted an offer to become the credit union's new Call Center Supervisor.
Four weeks later, Ms. Walker added the titles of Real Estate Loan and Consumer Loan Manager to his title and 10 days later, added the title of Credit Manager.
Mr. Garcia had no prior experience as a call center supervisor, as a real estate or consumer loan processor or officer or as a credit manager. His many titles were granted by Ms. Walker only because he is her confidant.
What's more, starting July 7, 2010, he will begin serving in the capacity of Interim Burbank Branch Manager. According to Ms. Walker, he will only serve in the capacity of Interim Burbank Branch Manager for about two-weeks. If this were true, then why assign the title of Interim Burbank Branch Manager to Mr. Garcia's burgeoning heap of titles?
JOHNNY GARCIA
Mr. Garcia was hired as South Pasadena's security guard. Mr. Garcia's apparent talent is pandering to supervisors. Though inexperienced, he was hired as a teller. He was quickly afterwards promoted to the post of FSR by Branch Manager, Gema Pleitez.
When the call center went online, he quickly became one of its representatives. Within a few weeks, Joseph Garcia promoted Mr. Garcia to the post of Call Center Lead by passing other more senior and more experienced employees.
Director of Project Management, Yvonne Boutte described him as a "kiss ass" and Ms. Walker replied, "I like it that way." She forgot to add that pandering is a quality she utilizes in determining who will receive one of her shiny new but meaningless titles.
Ms. Walker's obsession with titles is disturbing. It's ultimately an empty, meaningless gesture that relegates embellished monikers to staff who are favored versus staff who are competent. Then again, isn't this how Charles R. Wiggington. Sr. was selected as successor to the highly respected, William E. Harris?
PRIORITY PAY
Introduced by Ms. Walker in late 2009, Priority Pay is the credit union's version of a Payday Loan. The cost to develop and implement Priority Pay was $50,000, but Ms. Walker never conducted the usual types of studies that would have determine whether or not Priority Pay is something members want and need. The less than warm response has quickly branded Priority Pay an utter failure. Members have disclosed that the product is intrusive and provides the credit union with insight into their personal banking choices.
We believe the product was a good idea in theory but Ms. Walker's lack of responsible planning has surely relegated this to the stack of failed enterprises entered into by the credit union. What Ms. Walker never mentioned that when a person obtained a loan via Priority Pay, they are automatically entered into a monthly program which debits $59 each month from their checking account.
Ms. Walker's announcement of the product proved an utter fiasco. In 2009, chronically inept AVP, Rodger Smock, disclosed the product would have a "soft opening" and not be advertised to all members with invitations to apply for Priority Pay, only be mailed to members whose account histories show that they obtain payday loans.
Invitations were mailed by Ms. Walker forgot to ensure that these were accompanied by Fee schedules. We give Ms. Walker's well-intentioned but poorly executive product an "F".
COURTESY PAY
Courtesy Pay is one of the first products introduced by Beatrice Walker. Courtesy Pay is nothing more than overdraft protection and charges a flat fee when used, irrelevant of the overdraft amount.
The only reason why Ms. Waker introduced the product was to generate income from fees incurred each time Courtesy Pay is used. The product is intended as a solution to the cycle of losses caused by President Wiggington's horrendous business decisions which have left the credit union in a state of perpetual losses.
And though the program is producing sorely needed money, it is also forcing more and more delinquencies and deferring increased numbers of members to collection proceedings. So is this how Priority One proves it is a Financial Fitness Center or that it possesses the ability to help members and employees "win with money"?
Ms. Walker was also to send letters to all members, inviting them to enroll in Courtesy Pay but just before the product was launched, she ordered the Member Services Department to enroll all active members in Courtesy Pay. Not surprisingly, since implementation of Courtesy Pay, member complaints and account closures have escalated. Inarguably, there is nothing courteous about Courtesy Pay.
SKIP-A-PAY
Skip-a-Pay is another product plagiarized by Ms. Walker from an associate in the credit union industry. As we've mentioned in past posts, she has never developed an original product, choosing instead to call associates throughout the industry and borrowing their ideas. And though this is a common practice in many industries, her chronic failure is not engaging Priority One's marketplaces to verify if what she is planning to implement is something wanted and needed by the communities served by Priority One. She evidently has the same comprehension of marketing as does President Wiggington and AVP, Rodger Smock.
Skip-a-Pay allows members to skip a loan payment without adversely affecting their credit rating. The payment is not actually skipped but deferred. This means that the term of the loan agreement is renegotiated and extended by one month.
According to MyCreditUnion.Gov, Skip-a-Pay may offer convenience and "a sense of temporary relief, it can be an expensive alternative." The reason why Skip-a-Pay will prove costly to any member, is:
- The credit union continues to charge interest on the month where payment is "skipped"
- Skip-a-Pay requires renegotiation of a loan agreement and adds a month to the term of the loan for each Skip-a-Pay incident
- The credit union charges a $25 processing fee for all Skip-a-Pay applications
All things considered, Skip-a-Pay is an expensive product to all members and increases debt. The credit union invites members to apply for Skip-a-Pay and use the money, to take a vacation or buy something they might not otherwise afford. If a person's monthly loan payment is $80, we doubt they can use that amount to take a trip.
THE YING & THE YANG
In 2009, Ms. Walker fired four employees she said were unnecessary and promised to lay-off more employees to offset Priority One's expenses.
However, a few months following her ordered lay-offs, she planned the hiring of Saeid Raad at a cost of $100,000 per year.
She also implemented a plot against the IT Supervisor because he had discovered and challenged her for charging a $5000 laptop without first consulting with him as required under credit union policy. Infuriated, she hired her friend, Randy McBride as the IT Manager, placing him above the IT Supervisor. Within a few weeks following Mr. McBride's arrival the IT Supervisor was terminated using fraudulent accusations that he violated credit union policy.
Ms. Walker is not trying to reduce spending. To the contrary, she is using credit union funds like her own private piggy bank and forcing the credit union into a cycle of unnecessary and exorbitant spending.
TALKING THE WALK - WALKER STYLE
This past February, Beatrice Walker began implementing numerous changes to various departments, including the credit union's Business Development Department.
One might have assumed that Rodger Smock, the Director over Human Resources, would have been more intimately familiar with state law. If an employee works overtime, they must be paid overtime irrelevant of a business' financial limitations. According to state law:
In California, the general overtime provisions are that a nonexempt employee 18 years of age or older, or any minor employee 16 or 17 years of age who is not required by law to attend school and is not otherwise prohibited by law from engaging in the subject work, shall not be employed more than eight hours in any workday or more than 40 hours in any workweek unless he or she receives one and one-half times his or her regular rate of pay for all hours worked over eight hours in any workday and over 40 hours in the workweek. Eight hours of labor constitutes a day's work, and employment beyond eight hours in any workday or more than six days in any workweek is permissible provided the employee is compensated for the overtime at not less than:
- One and one-half times the employee's regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of eight hours up to and including 12 hours in any workday, and for the first eight hours worked on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; and
- Double the employee's regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 12 hours in any workday and for all hours worked in excess of eight on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek.
Employees who have questions regarding the legality of Ms. Walker's and Mr. Smock's latest directives should contact the California Department of Industrial Relations or if necessary, file a complaint at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/howtofilewageclaim.htm. .
We also conducted a search to verify how the state classifies sales personnel and obtained the following information:
Primary duty of making sales; or of obtaining orders or contracts for services or for the use of facilities for which a consideration will be paid by the client or customer, and ...
- Be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Usually work away from the employer's place of business, selling tangible or intangible items.
- More than 50% of the time they are performing these outside sales duties. Work under Wage Orders (Professional, Technical, Clerical, Mechanical and Similar Occupations) or 7 (Mercantile Industry).
- You are not considered an outside salesman if you make sales by mail, telephone, or the Internet or if you work from your home or your employer's office.
Priority One's Business Development staff spends more than 50% and more of their time working in the field. So why did Ms. Walker violate state law and reclassify the entire team from exempt to non-exempt status?

A SELF-PROCLAIMS SALESMAN
According to Ms. Walker and her lackey, AVP, Rodger Smock, restructuring of the Business Development team was fueled by the team's failure to produce the level of new business needed to offset the credit union's looming monthly overhead. So hos is converting exempt employees to non-exempt status going to increase the development of new business?
During meetings with branch managers Ms. Walker has said she wishes to eliminate the entire business development team and has increased their monthly sales quotas. She has said that if they fail to satisfy their monthly quotas, then she legally can terminate their employment. She has also said that the amount of new business brought in by each team member fails to justify their "high salaries."
The team earns between $25,000 and $50,000 per year whereas Ms. Walker is paid more than $100,000 per year as is AVP, Rodger Smock. The President earns more than $150,000 per year. In view of their chronic strategical failures, are their three salaries justified?
Ms. Walker has also boasted that she can get more business on her own and without assistance than the entire business development team combined. She can't even introduce products that achieve the amount of profit she promised, how then does she possess the talent to generate more new business than the 5-person team? We think Fräulein Walker is suffering from delusions of grandeur.
She's going to have to do a lot better than installing window treatments, new carpeting and umbrellas in the employee patio, to prove she's worth her $100,000 plus annual salary. The fact is, Beatrice Walker shares the same inability as does Charles R. Wiggington,. Sr. to create anything that reaps real profit. She's failed as a strategist and she's been a deterrant to employee morale. In the end, all we can say is -
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR MS. WALKER? THERE’S THE DOOR – GO GET THE BUSINESS GIRL!
In a nut shell, Beatrice Walker is a failure, corrupt and a chronic liar. Her strategical planning has added tremendous debt to the credit union. What's more, none of her plagiarized ideas have created the level of new business she promised they would produce.
A few months ago, she conceded that the challenges she faces are many and in her words, “This better work out, where else can I go where I get paid as much.” So what has Beatrice Walker done in the past year to justify her more than $100,000 a year salary?
Her only real achievement has been fooling the credit union's ignorant Board who have increased her authority and are blindly trusting everything she promises will be achieved by her plagiarized ideas.
There is nothing more dangerous than a person who believes their opinions are above-reproach and who are driven by fear, pride, and ignorance. In the end, they will only destroy everything in their path to ensure preservation of what they believe to be true.

Bea's behavior with Yvonne and her gossiping about Susanna and other employees is as bad as Wigg's sexual harassment. I would like to read the statements the investigator got from the employees he interviewed. Things are getting worse and morale is so bad and Bea's reports and reports and reports are just stupid and a waste of time. No wonder she's had so many jobs.
The board and supervisor committee has stepped back two hundred years and should be saying "yas um mistress bread pudding face, eyez go pick cotton now."

If you have debts, it is natural that the creditor would try to collect. In order to collect, the creditor would use all means necessary including filing a case against you. You will be given 30 days to dispute the claim made against you. If you really owe the money, you should immediately try to contact your creditor in order to make a new payment arrangement that would be amicable to both of you. You will pay off your debts as longs as they agree not to press charges. You should do this in order to avoid a judgment record on your credit
history.
Dokemion, I don't understand your comment and how it relates to anything in the post. Talking about collecting money. There are always collectors calling South Pasadena about the delinquent accounts for one of the credit resolutions collectors. The guys is the most aggressive, meanest, rudest person. When he calls members he tells them to borrow money from their relatives to pay the money they owe the credit union. What's good for members should be good for Yvonne's boy. He should ask his relatives to give him the money to pay his debts.

Bea Walker is the worst for any cu. She still calls my manager for ideas. Not that this is a bad thing, but look at everything she does, she has no ideas of her own. She borrows from everyone and she has never been able to deliver. She is her own worst enemy and she has an acid personality. If you talk to people where she used to work they'll tell you that people run from her. Its always the same story. Your board didn't do their homework. They should have tested her to see what she really knows or how she would make a differece

Where is the Supervisory Committee during all of this? They should be looking into this and if finding wrongdoing, they can suspend Board members and call a Members' Meeting to remove them. Has anybody sent this info to the California Department of Financial Institutions? The state regulator should be looking into this if complaints are filed.
Employees who file complaints with the DFI will likely be retaliated against by Wigg and Bea, but members can file complaints with the DFI and should. If they care about their credit union and its future, they should file a grievance. The supervisory committee which is head by Cornelia Simmons, is useless. The Board of Directors which is headed by dishonest Diedra HarrisBrooks will never do a thing. And forget Wigg, Bea or Rodger who have caused all the problems at the credit union.

Found this interesting.... the NCUA classifies that a CU is Undercapitalized when the capital is between 4% and 5.99%. Wonder how the Insurance assessment ($100k+) that had to be on their books by 6/30 affected their income and capital? Their capital at 3/31 was 6.94%. Hmmmmmm......

Bea sees herself as an educated professionalism but her pride, bad manners, lack of social etiquette and insecurities keep getting in her way. She like nasty old Wigg, likes to talk about employees. A few montys back she told Yvonne and others there were employees she supposedly liked but could no longer protect them because she knew they are the blogger. If she believes it, it must be true.
What's important to see is that not one person has posted even one good thing she has done. No one has complimented her, as a person, or said, "Bea is a great leader because...." For years, when Mr. Harris was president, Wiggington would go to Rodger and tell lies about employees. Funny thing was Wiggington would complain to Mr. Harris that Rodger was lazy and he even said that if he ever became president, Rodger would have to work. He told us about a time he was in Rodger's bedroom and saw a photo of Henry Campos on Rodger's night stand. Wiggington said, "I dont' understand that guy or his life." One time I told Cavazos that Patti Lopez wanted to transfer to the loan department. He said, "I don't want someone that looks like that in my dept." I went to Mr. West and complained. Mr. West said,

Another time I went to Mr. West again, and told him Aaron was abusing Kim Burke. He agreed, saying he saw the abuse abuse but he again, didn't do anything.
Mr. West is shallow, empty. All he can do is talk the talk. It says in scripture, "You'll know them by their works" and clearly, you know West by his works. His attempt to be different is an act. What's up? We all got to see Bea's viciousness today. Wearing and old black dress without a pointed hat, pearls, and the face of an executioner, Bea ordered that several employees get laid off. Rodger told the business development team they are how part-timers and are not to work more than 20 hours a day. He told the team that they have to write down the names of every person they visit, what is discussed, the name of the company, and how long they are there. They no longer have medical benefits. They also got rid of the receptionist. A few weeks ago Bea said she thought that one employee is the blogger and said "I don't know how I can protect her." Bea also said that she knows for a fact that there are people in accounting and VISA who are the bloggers. Rodger admitted the company is doing real bad. What happened to January 2010 when Bea said "we're in the BLACK." This blog was so right!

Kim ended up at the reception desk because she was told BY RODGER that when Esmeralda was out on family leave that if Irma hadn't known Emeralda's desk there would been big trouble. And that if something happen to her who would know her desk. So Kim when along with it and was told she would be out there for a 'couple' months and that it would be good for her to know the 'other' side of the business. So Kim trusted management and when along with it. There was even a announcement on the Intranet that Irma was in that position on a temporary basic. So why not let Kim go back to her position? She was so much better than Irma will ever be. When members were pissed off and demanding to talk to the CEO (what a joke that title is) Kim would calm them down. I remember when a member was mad and wanted to talk to wiggs, I told Kim the situation and she said send him to me and I will take care of him. Kim worked her magic not only was the member happy but he wanted to know if Kim was as beautiful as her voice, I told him she was more beautiful because she was as beautiful inside as well as the outside. Kim really took care of the back office while Irma looks very unhappy back there. We all know that Rodger is a COWARD and Esmeralda has joined the crew. Bea has been planning to get rid of Tsui Tang since 2009. She escalated her plot right after she forced Manny Gaitmaitan to quit. She complained to Wiggington and Diedra that Tsui was uncooperative and they let her hire Randy McBride even though the credit union wasn't making money.
She used to tell Yvonne, Joseph, and Wigg she hated Tsui because he would not make the changes she wanted. Tsui was honest and told her some of the things she wanted could not be done with the equipment the credit union has and something couldn't be done because they are illegal.
Being brain dead, Bea would have none of it and got Wiggington and Diedra to approve hring of Randy McBride. All she knows how to do is waste money and look at fabric swatches. Look at Priority Pay, Courtesy Pay, Skip-a-Pay. Does it look like she understands business? Tsui was honest and never lied to her, but she took it personal because in her twisted mind, you either love her, which is impossible, or you hate her.
Yesterday, it should have been Randy McBride that got fired but she wasn't about to fire her friend. Men don't want Bea, girls don't want Bea, and even her son dissed her when he came to the credit union a few months ago. Boy that woman has nothing going for her.
Back in 2008, Wigg was at the Proud Bird Restaurant telling people how he was going to "get Kim" because she hadn't showed up to a weekend luncheson so he could show her off as his secretary. He also said he wanted a thinner secretary. Thin and pretty like him. Please, girl.
If I remember Kim told me that she had a flat tire that Saturday. It was the second one she had that week. It seems when the workers were working on the deck and they had left some boards in the driveway. Kim said she drove and ran over a couple of boards. One of the workers told her he was sorry and removed the boards. Later Gema and Gina told Kim she had a flat tire. I remember cause her mother had to come down and Kim used her triple A card to have it fix. She told me the next day the attendant told her that her tires were pretty thin and she would probably get another flat tire. That I think was Thursday and then Saturday just like the attendant said another flat tire. She showed me her bill from Pep Boys and it was almost $400.00. Told her it beats the bus right? And she smiled.
Bea took away the benefits for the entire business development team with the help of Smock. Poor Martha Aviles has had cancer in the past and even received chemo for a long time before she got well. Now she doesn't have any benefits. Hector had a stroke a few years ago but his benefits are gone too. Way to go Bea, your the best. Congratulations Rodger. Guess as long as you can keep your boyfriend fed. And Wigg, your the bestest. Priority One, your financial fitness center, my ass.
4 months ago, Bea was telling several managers "I think Kim one of the bloggers. I've been protecting her but I don't know how long I can protect her." I'd rather be protected by an anaconda.
Ok how could Kim be the blogger? Bea you are really beyond stupid. 90% of what's on the blog came from wiggs and managements mouth. What proof did Bea offer?
Esmeralda spent the last month watching Kim at Bea's request and telling Bea and Rodger anything Kim did which might be suspicious.

Kim was a sweetheart who never hurt anyone and was always helpful.
Bea has a son who hates her and bad mouths her any chance he gets. I feel sorry for him for having a mother like her.
I was shocked when her son came in. Bea reached out to hug him and he avoided her touch and pulled away. It was sad but the more you get to know her, the more you see why the person who is genetically wired to love her, doesn't want to be touched by her. Its a testament to her as a person and woman.

That is a great point. Yvonne is using Bea for what she can get for herself. She couldn't make it at another company because Yvonne lacks intelligence, sophistication, and finesse. Her new list includes 2 employees from accounting, one from VISA, three from Loans, 4 from member services, and her assistant, in Marketing. Yes, she couldn't keep her big mouth shut and said it. Her plans have included getting rid of business development, the Redlands and Valencia branches. She wants to bring in her own business development team. She already brough in Saeid and Randy. Problem is she isn't too happy about the all black board but she has said, she'll deal with them. Does she think she has that much time? The credit union is falling apart while this frustrated COO tries to finish her decorating. Legend has it Nero burned Rome down so he could play his violin, maybe she thinks she can burn down P1 while holding Yvonne.

Valencia branch manager did not returned to work on Monday July, 12th as Sylvia said. We find her absence extremely weird. She seemed happy and would not leave priority one just like that. Does anyone knows anything about her????????

Yes, you're right, posting will never bring back the employees who were terminated by Bea Walker so she could continue decorating and misappropriating money, but the blog also serves a more important role, it lets readers, non-employees know what's goig on at Priority One and it lets management at P1 know that what they do in secret is brought to the light. The world is not limited to one man or woman's view though we all agree, Bea is a monster and Rodger is her accomplice. Wigg, well, what is he? If he can't talk about sex or offer to whip girls he can't have or if he can't take someone's car or slander people, he's nothing. Look at him today. He looks like crap. He's old and beat-up the product of his own wrong doing. He's pathetic.
The good news or bad, is the executives don't get along with each other either. Wigg talks about Bea, Rodger complains about Bea, West (who is or is not an executive) talks about Bea though he is loyal to Wigg. The other day Yvonne and Joseph got into a head butt and he raised his voice. She later said she was starting to see him for who he really is. Of course all that drips down on the employees who suffer because this bunch of rejects are so out of control, they forgot that they are there to run the business not run in into the ground. As for Bea, call Airco, she left quite a story when she was there.
Is it true, Hector went out on medical leave after more than 35 years of service at P1? That is amazing! Hector brought in a lot of new business and unlike Bea, he knows and respoects the postal culture. More than 75% of P1's members are postal workers and its the postal workers that have stood by and helped P1 through good and bad times. Bea on the other hand, knows how to talk behind employees backs and plot terminations with lies. She would be a good study to see if there's a relationship between an ugly face and evil acts. She used to work for the US Postal FCU but she never bothered to learn the postal culture. In fact, when she was new she visited an ambassador meeting with Wigg. She stayed about 30 seconds and the next day told Yvonne she didn't think the group was that bright. I guess she forgot the ambassadors are made up of SEG reps and postal workers that bring money to the credit union.
I don't know how they do business in the Appalacias, but elsewhere people know if business is bad you don't go out and recarpet the whole company.
Hector's reports prove he got the business while Priority One's monthlies show Wigg and Bea aren't getting the business. The only reports from Bea which show was good are the ones where she cooked the books.
The last 5 days, Rodger has been complaining he isn't feeling well. He's got headaches, his stomach hurts and his blood pressure is up. You only have high blood pressure if you've got a heart. Make up some other story fat boy. Who can feel sorry for the coward who let managment screw over so many good employees over so many years. I understand, Rodger had to pay the mortgage on his pretty house in Echo Park and he's got to pay for that young man that lives with him, but a lot of employees had to pay their rents, mortgages, bills, feed their children. and pay their P1 loans! Rodger is just a liar and con artist and an accomplice. Fat geezer you ain't getting my sympathy, ever. You and Bea give a bad name to the gay community.
Where was Rodger today? Was he at bar? Did you notice how happy Bea looked? She loves terminating people. She can't hide her joy. What a bitch.
Priority One has a long history of problems with violating federal law. I just read the comments about Marc and porn. That's a lie. The credit union has firewalls and even if an employee wanted to look at porn, they couldn't. That's a vicious rumor and I believe the persons that started it are either Bea or Yvonne. They've used that same excuse with other employees. They should be sued for slander.
What's worse is that Rodger Smock, the head of HR has known about the lies and stories made up by managers to slander and fire employees but has gone along with the game and helped destroy a lot of lives. A few years ago he sat at Carmines and in the Loan Dept, laughing whenever Wigg took off his belt and told Kim to come one over so he could whip her ass. No one thought it was funny except gay Smock. HR is supposed to protect employee rights but at Priorty One, Smock looked away and let Cavazos, Wiggington, and now Walker, abuse and slander employees. When employees complained about Aaron he protected Aaron even though Aaron told employees about Rodger's gay/bi sex life.
And even though Wiggington always takes lunch with Rodger he told employees that Rodger was gay and that he was in Rodger's bedroom when he saw that photo of Henry on Rodger's nightstand. What was Wiggington doing in Rodger's bedroom anyway?
Beatrice should be sued for her racist statement about Mexicans (not Cubans, Guatamalans, or other Latinos). She's an ignorant hick with a big mouth, no professional skills and horrible bubbly skin that makes her look like the elephant man. Maybe before she makes racist statements, she should take a long look in the mirror.

While Bea was there, they lost a lot of money and had to file a claim which CUMIS paid. That would make you wonder why any credit union would ever hire after money was lost. And did P1 verify that she is bondable? According to the NCUA Data Service directory Beatrice E. Walker was with AIRCO, charter #11917, located at 6265 SAN FERNANDO ROAD",GLENDALE,CA,91201.
In 2002, the 12/02/02 Los Angeles Business Journal had an article that said Beatrice Walker was been hired by Pasadena Schools Federal Credit Union as executive vice president and that she had previously worked for Honda Federal Credit Union as a Branch/Call Center Manager. So she goes from a Call Center Mgr to executive VP but by 2009 she is working at Electricore where she oversees contracts and HR issues. What happened?
Before that she was at Honda FCU. While she supervised the call center a temp employee got out 2 cards in his grandparents name without authorization from Honda or his grandparents. Bea had nothing to do with that but the NCUA investigation showed she didn't oversee correctly and the employee got the limits on the card raised which ended up in losses to Honda at more than $80,000. No, she didn't do the crime but she didn't do due diligence either.
Now she's at P1 making another mess and turning their world upside down too. You can say anything you want about her skin, decorating, or how she spends money, but the records verify what type of mgr she really is.

Maybe its time for other credit unions to move in and offer postal employees services and products that actually will help people not just tell them that their lives will be better with winning with money. I'm surprised P1 hasn't offered to help people win with money with the help of the tooth fairy. Members still have a chance before Bea finishes off the credit union, to demand to know why she is spending $ on decorating and to explain where money is going. They can ever get rid of Diedra Harris Brooks. In the meantime, there are other way better credit unions that serve communities or might even serve your particular type of employment. Wigg is looking for other job but told Rodger he is having a hard time because of some of the things said on this blog. He told Rodger he wants the blogger or bloggers to remove that he took Danny Wafa's car and that he sexually harassed Kim and that he tried to bring Henry Justice back.
Well He did take the members car. That's on company and DMV records. He did sexually harass Kim because that's on record in EXTTI's files and the board has a copy of what the investigator found. He did try to bring Justice back and that's on record too because he worked with Smock, accounting dept, and Patti Loiacano to bring Justice back. He even passed out business cards to the Loan Dept and told them to push Mr. Justice's business. That all stopped when the story of what he was planning appeared on this blog. I even remember him calling Justice and telling him "if anyone calls you and asks if you're coming back tell them its not true." Why call and tell him to make up a story if its not true? I got to give it to Patti Loiacano, who has done horrible things over the years, but this time she told Wigg he shouldn't bring Justice back because the guy stole more than $81,000 from the cu. That was fraud.
If you don't want to be called a sexual harasser don't sexually harass. If you don't want people to call you a thief don't steal. And if you don't want people to call you dishonest then don't do dishonest things. The president's world just got a lot smaller.
Wigg deserves what he's getting and more, look at all the dirt he's done over the years. He had a real opportunity to come in and take what Mr. Harris built and take it to the next level. His sloth like ways is what brought Bea to P1. Rodger is doing what he's always done over years and that is doing his master's bidding no matter how low it is. That old dog needs to go to the pound and get his justice. It's really a shame of what Esmeralda's turned into, how pathetic. Bea will get hers don't worry those kind of people go from job to job. Her disfuntional side will always come out. She must have a hate for herself and takes it out on others. From what I read here Wigg and Bea are the same. Both seem to think they are smart (they are not) and have a need for their fellow co-workers to be subservient. Too bad the credit union and employees have to suffer because of their egos. It's been awhile since I have worked for P1 and I am thankful I am now in a professional environment and work with management that believes in teamwork.
And you're right, Wigg deserves a lot more than he's gotten so far. Good, they finally cut the vultures wings. But monsters like Wigg are made and Rodger helped make that monster. Whenever someone complained about Wigg, Rodger always made sure to twist the facts around and make it look like Wiggington was innocent and the employee was the one with the problem. I remember him telling one young lady, "I think you misunderstood what Mr. Wiggington meant." Another time he told a male employee, "Maybe that's how you interpreted it." Still another, he told a former employee, "I think you're distorting what Mr. Wiggington meant." Either everyone doesn't understand Mr. Wiggington or Mr. Wiggington doesn't know how to communicate. Because of Wiggington and with the help of Rodger, Wiggington was able to get away with so much. In the end, the financial problems, the loss of employment of so many good employees, the loss in pay for all the others whose hours are cut-back and who have lost benefits are as much Rodger's fault as they are Wiggington's. I still remember how before he became president, Wiggington told Rodger and Aaron that he was going to get rid of Maggie. And what happened? On 1/1/07, the day he became dictator, he put her under Aaron knowing Aaron hated her. He gave Maggie's office to Aaron and then moved Maggie to the dirty, dusty file room. The employees complained and some of the board and he brought her back giving her a desk just outside her old office. Then he puts her on the marketing committee. Rodger and him demoted her to Marketing Coordinator and a few days later told her they were going to have to cut her pay and put her on the clock because a coordinator made less than a marketing director. Mrs. Irving intervened and they didn't cut her pay but a few weeks later, Rodger told her she was being laid-off because Mr. Wiggington had a new vision for marketing. And what was that vision, running Priority One deep into the RED? Good goal, Wigglenuts!
As for Bea, she travels from credit union to credit union like she works at a carnival. She lays waste to everything she touches. Honda, Unviversal Studios FCU, Airco FCU and who knows how many others have been affected by her. I still want to know why CUMIS had to pay a claim when she worked at AIRCO? We know the NCUA had to investigate what her employee did when she worked at Honda and why was she fired from Universal Studios CU? Lots of questions but no answers.

I'm glad Bea can afford traveling. If you go to her office, she's got that nice photo she took at the Vatican. I forgot to tell you, I really like how your remodeled your office, its really sharp looking. Its great that Bea can protect her lifestyle and not sacrifice a damn thing. Oh yeah, and its nice to see she is moving forward with remodeling the bacck offices. Employees are afraid they might lose their jobs, but at least Bea's job is safe. Thanks Diedra Harris-Brooks. And none has mentioned how Bea cut the hours of the tellers at South Pasadena and some of the FSR's. Since this week's terminations, Bea has been walking around like a rooster (like she could ever walk around like a hen). After everything I've read about her on this blog how the hell did the board think she was good for priority one? She hasn't been good for other businesses and she's turned Priority One into such a horrible place. People are afraid and unhappy and according to Rodger the company is doing employees a favor by giving them at least 20 hours a week. I wonder if could survive on 20 hours of pay?

We had calls from a lot of postal works who know Hector and they are not happy about what is happening in this credit union. The post office like Bulk center has a room for us there David and Hector would go there now who is going to go over there? Bulk mail already knows about Hector and they are very unhappy with P1.
Have your members send e-mail to DFI and NCUA let them know they are not posting the June figures and they are always posting them late. Of course in order for them to post they need to hide things and lie on the report. Wigg is good at that

You are so right, there is strength in numbers and its not like what Wigg, Bea and Rodger keep all the things they do a secret. Every time they do something, they open their mouths and tell people and before you know it, everyone knows about it.

And I agree, send an email to the DFI's complaint dept and report Priority 1 for not posting the monthly financials on time. The reports are held up at the request of Wigg and Bea, and Saeid their newest dog, goes along with everything he's told to do. At least Manny had the balls to stand up to the sexual harasser and Bread Puddin face and tell them he wasn't going to violate the law.

Hector and Martha have contributed so much, bringing in so much money to P1 and building strong relationships with the post offices and hospitals. They are invaluable to everyone but Bea. Bea is so stupid it never occurred to her that cutting their hours affects the qualify of member service. Bea also said they are both old but last time I looked, Bea looked old herself. How old is she, anyway,75? She and Rodger are so stupid because it never crossed their minds that on Fridays Hector opens the LABMC and this Friday it was closed and members didn't get service. Way to shoot yourself in the hoof, Bea.
Postal employees and hospital employees should close their accounts at P1 and find other better credit unions where employees aren't abused and the president didn't sexually harass an employee and where the head of HR has morals.
Anyway, Bea says she doesn't care if people close their accounts because in her opinion, there are only 2 sources of income for Priority 1. One is new membership and the other is loans. She's right, loans are the meat and potatoes of any credit union but new membership means nothing if new members don't obtain products and services. Like John wrote, it takes 24-36 months to make members active participants but Bea would know this if she actually understood logistics. She's an idiot.
Wigg and Bea or Rodger have not taken a pay cut. Right after Theresa suggested in the all employee meeting that management take a cut, Rodger told employees he had already taken a pay cut. Lying sack of crap. He never took a cut and he helped Bea get rid of Theresa for making a reasonable suggestion. No, Bea is still riding high and Wigg has no power and does nothing, but he still gets 6 figure salary a year.
As a Postal Service employee and P1 member, I am saddened to learn that conditions have deteriorated to such a degree. I don't think I've seen it this bad in the Postal Service, and that's saying a lot.
I have taken out several loans in the past with Priority One. Thanks to great people like Hector and your staff, I have always been amazed at how quickly and smoothly the loan process could be. Hector made things happen.
It is obvious that these days are past. With such a toxic environment and unwise management decisions, it is clear that P1's stability is a big question mark. I will therefore be closing my account.

I've been reading this blog since May of last year. I didn't even know about the blog until I was told about it by a manager of another credit union. At first I thought whoever is writing this is mean and unfair but they always provide proof like the company's own records and they have statements from people in the credit union. I sometimes visit the main office. I recently visited South Pasadena office which I hadn't visited in awhile.
The first thing I noticed is the nice receptionist was not there. I was told she was laid-off. I was so saddened. The office has changed. I remember how the place used to be so nice to visit. Employees smiled and people seemed happy and people treated you like you were special. No more. The employees don't smile. They're not even friendly. They do their job and then off you go with none of the friendliness that used to be there when Mr Harris was president. Mr Harris was gave me a loan when I suffered a death in my family and he actually spoke to me. My co-workers at the post office tell me Mr Wiggington doesn't speak to members or return calls. This new person, Beatrice, sounds just awful. I can't imagine how any person could think that mistreating employees is going to result in great business. I just hope the suffering will stop and that someone, I don't know who, will bring an end to the damage caused by such horrible managers.

Thanks John for providing a list of credit unions to join at the top of this post. I will joining another credit union since I have had it with Priority One, where no one is a priority.
Wigg used to visit Branch 24 union hall on Saturdays, but that was a long time ago. He was known by the carriers as a big drinker and talker, spending 2 or 3 hours in the back bar guzzling up alcohol. He never made an effort to visit post offices and neither did Smock or this woman Beatrice. Maybe its time other credit union started visiting us and showing us what they have to offer.
The only reason Wigg used to visit Branch 24 was to shoot the breeze and get those $2 drinks. He may not realize it, but outside of disonest Bobby Thomas, they don't care for him at the post office. He lies to them the way he lies to everyone. When they invited him to take part in classes, he told them he would. They when the branch secretary called his office to confirm, he told member service and business development to tell them he had problems at home and wouldn't be able to attend. What, did he run out of booze?
He doesn't care about anything related to the post office. After he became president he wanted more focus on SEGs than post offices. He said he wanted Priority 1 to have better types of members. If took 2 minutes to do his homework he would have seen we don't make money from SEGs, something that idiot Sylvia Perez should get through her fat confused head. SEGs are not profitable and they are not loyal. Postal employees do business with the credit union and they are loyal but Wigg and obviously, Beatrice, do not know how to make this valuable group feel special. You have am ex-banker who couldn't cut it in the banking industry; and a woman with an MBA in business who knows as much about business as a terrier. They are both equally unimpressive and ignorant and neither appreicates their core membership which is about 80% postal worker and their families.
What with the board? We all know Mr. Harris here at the post office and he could turn the credit union back to what it was a great place to do business, why not bring him back?
Could it be that Deride would lose her power? How did the board let things go some wrong from what that place use to be to what it is now When is she up for reelection does anyone know?

My mentor said,"Let's go do it" not "You go do it. How powerful when someone says, "Let's!" Good people are found not changed, Recently I read a headline that said. "We don't teach our people to be nice. We simply hire nice people." Wow! What a clever short cut. We could have save a lot of good employees and members and money if the board or whoever is responsible for hiring this out of control lady that killing our credit union. Enough is Enough Kick their ass to the curb and take our credit union back now time is running out DFI patience is running out too.

Wigg has always looked down his nose at Postal Workers, ALWAYS. The employees at P1 know it, he always wanted what he called a better class of people for P1. Bea who we all know looks down her nose at minorities was probably told of his disdain and his plan to bring in the better class of people. Too bad Wigg did not realize that P1 has some of the best, some of the hardest working peopel on the planet. Just know the staff at P1 appreciates ALL Postal Workers.

Well, its true, Wigg did say that he wanted a better class of people than postal workers, but that was back in 2007, before he screwed everything up and realized that the only people who were loyal to P1 were postal workes. She, like Wigg, wants to change the face of the credit union membership, problem is the few people she's brought in are not helping generate enough money to sustain P1. Priority One has taken a big fall like Humpty Dumpty. They can try and keep members ignorant, but members have options and there are a lot of credit unions that actually provide service. Unbelievable that Wigg, Bea and Diedra laid waste to what was a great credit union.
Its almost impossible to believe that in 3 years, there have been so many changes and the one thing that most stands out is that the board of directors hired 2 people who have proven to be the worst thing possible for the credit union. Diedra's statement in the annual meeting that in her opinion, the credit union has the right management in place just proves the one is an imbecile.
Diedra relies on what she is told by Bea. If Bea tells her everything is getting better she believes it. When Bea addresses the numbers with the board, she makes them think she knows what she's doing and all their problems can be resolved. The board got tired of Wigg who bullshitted them for more than a year, but Bea is bullshitting the stupid Board too. What will probably happen is that the cu may be merged with another, reduced in size with a lot of employees losing their jobs, or shut down all together if they can't get a buyer. Definitely, Wigg knew nothing about running the cu and the fact that he's Black proves that what they need wasn't a man of color but a man of competence. Bea has already proven she can only provoke employees and push the credit union further in trouble. I would fire both immediately though anyone coming on board would have to try and shuffle through their mess. Is it too late for P1? Maybe.
2 weeks ago Smock was crying that the credit union has to pay a lot of money to the ncua. How much do they have to pay? And Diedra, Wigg, Walker or Smock, why don't you post on here and tell us why you waste so money when you say the credit union is doing bad?
With P1 doing so badly and employees getting laid off the board should cut all the idiots, er executives (what a joke that title is) salaries in half.

I visit South Pasadena today. The place smells like chemicals. There are roles of carpet when you walk in all piled by the stairs. You wrote that they are doing okay on their real estate loans but their not. They are referring all home related loans to cu partners and Priority 1 gets a fee. They don't have the $ to finance these. And they are having delinquencies with their real estate loans. Its sad to see that it all went from bad under Wigg to worse under Bea Walker. P1 has issues that you never saw when Harris ran the place and before Wigg, Diedra and Walker ever showed up.
I want to thank the person who put in the info about Lockheed. Went there today. The people were so friendly and helpful. They answer all your questions and don't treat you like they can't want to get you out. 2 weeks ago I closed my account at Priority. The person who helped me didn't smile once. She asked me why I was closing my acct but never asked if there was anything she could do to save it. Then she took me to the teller. The teller was really nice and friendly. She also gave me my paperwork in a window P1 envelope. At Lockheed they placed all my paperwork in a nice medium sized envelope. In the future, P1 is probably going to ask members to provide their own envelopes paper and pens. That place is headed downhill.
What happened to Marc? I heard Bea talking to Rodger and it sounded like they were going to let him go. I hope not, he's a good guy.
They laid him off but that pussy Rodger "the backstabber" Smock left the office early (probably on his way to a gay bar) and let Esmeralda, his new dog, tell Marc his job was being removed. Hope Rodger doesn't take over again because when he handled marketing he was the WORST. He knows about as much about marketing as he does about HR. Of course he knows more than Esmeralda which ain't saying much.
If Marc is gone (I don't know that he is) then who is going to handle marketing? Rodger screwed it all up and so did Patti because they no nothing about marketing or advertising. It was so sad to read that Marc is gone. He really was a nice, polite guy. Word had it for weeks and weeks that Bea had been talking her usual shit about him. She told Yvonne and Joseph and some managers, she did not trust him and that she though he was a leak. She told Rodger and of course, old faggot, took her side and even called Marc to his office and threatened his employment. Bea kept saying she was going to get rid of him. One day, while some of us sat in the loan dept, we saw her leave Rodger's office and walk along the glass located behind where Marc sat. She was straining to see what was on his computer as if Marc or any employee would be looking at prohibited sites when they sit so close to the executive offices. She's as stupid as she is ugly. And for those readers who have never seen her, take my word, she is horrible to look at. Sounds mean except it goes with her character. And the witch knows there are firewalls so employees can't visit sites, like facebook or porn sites. This is one demented broad.
Your right. She is horrible inside and out. I don't ever met someone with less regard or respect for people then Bea Walker. Its kind of shocking to read the things that people write about her but they are reacting to her abuses. And for those readers who think people are being mean, they haven't seen her. Bea has an MBA. Do you see any evidence that she's educated, competent or the consumate COO? Wiggington has has a BA in Afro-American Studies. Do you seen any proof? Rodger Smock has a degree in psychology (oh wait, I can't stop laughing. Okay, I stopped.) Do you see any proof he's educated?
Yes, I agree, at P1 they hire a lot of uneducated employees. You see it in the way they treat each other and the way they treat members. You hear it in how they speak, the way they write, and the way they dress. You see it in how they carry out their job duties.
But even that could be changed if P1's management actually cared about their employees and the cu's image. P1 doesn't provide employees opportunities to grow or develop nor teach them things that would make them better employees or people. Some credit unions send employees to school or provide classes and not like those taught by Robert West that not only have no value but don't help anyone become a better person.
But then again, whose going to teach them. Rodger? The man is an idiot. He knows little about human resources and for years he had a wonderful opportunity to make a difference but he chose to be lazy and ineffective and go with whoever would benefit him most. He has no backbone or ethics and really, did you ever see his marketing pieces? They are elementary and ship shod like everything else he does. Of course, nowadays he oversees very little because Bea stripped him down like a stolen car.

I disagree with both of you. Jennifer Kelly and Joseph are not wonderful managers. In fact, accounting has a horrible working environment with employees not speaking to one another and even Saeid complained to Bea that Jennifer is difficult.
