ANOTHER DISMAL YEAR
Priority One Credit Union’s Monthly Income Statements and quarterly Financial Performance Reports (“FPR”) prove the credit union will end the year in the negative. This doesn't come as a surprise when one considers that in a desperate effort to remain solvent, President Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. at the request of state auditors, ordered closure of the Redlands and Valencia branches less than 60-days ago.
It is also become obvious that COO, Beatrice Walker, who was hired on June 1, 2009, is proving incapable of resolving the problems created by the President which have thrust the credit union into a continual cycle of financial losses. At a salary in excess of $100,000 per year, one can only wonder if she’s worth the money she’s being paid.
This is a President who has managed over a three-year period, to unravel the accomplishments made by the credit union’s many Presidents and staffs since opening it’s doors for business in 1926.
His AVP sector, his $600,000 telephone system, his elimination of the marketing department, his installation of a marketing committee, his hiring of a COO and many other blunders have all ebbed away at the credit union’s once strong financial foundation and have injured Priority One’s public reputation.
If Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. was intent on placing Priority One into a state of regression, then he’s succeeded.
Accusations filed against the President in 2008, that he sexually harassed a former employee, were proven to be true and thanks to Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, the violations of state and federal law were invalidated and reduced by the corrupt Mrs. Harris-Brooks to a mere conflict of personalities.
It was also Mrs. Harris-Brooks who led the Directors into authorizing obtainment of a $20 million loan from the credit union’s line-of-credit which was used to increase the amount of the credit union’s asset size on paper. It was a decision fueled by pride and ego and purely superficial and it forced the credit union to pay between $30,000 and more than $50,000 per month in interest, alone.
The President also orchestrated the hiring of his long-time friend and associate, Beatrice Walker. According to the President, he hired her to serve as the credit union’s first COO so that she could takeover projects he was too busy to contend to, to help create new streams of business and to help drive out employees he had labeled his enemies.
However, the President’s plans seem to have been derailed by Ms. Walker, herself. Following her arrival at the credit union, she realized that Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. is not, in her words, “President material.” She quickly created alliances with then Director of Credit Resolutions, Yvonne Boutte, and Joseph Garcia. Mrs. Boutte and Mr. Garcia would later reveal that Ms. Walker had plans to displace the President and that they would each serve as vice presidents under her new regime.

So what has Ms. Walker actually achieved? She’s terminated lots of employees, many who she branded “the blogger”, “bloggers” and “friends of the blogger.”
- She also installed a call center that she described as a one-stop center but which has not only failed to live up to her hype but has aggravated complaints citing poor member service.
- She also succeeded in hiring her business associates, Saeid Raad, and IT Manager, Randy McBride.
- She’s reduced working hours, eliminated overtime and converted many full-time staff to part-time status and with the conversion, eliminated their medical and retirement benefits.
- She’s introduced Courtesy Pay, an overdraft protection program and without first obtaining authorization from members, automatically added it to all accounts. Courtesy Pay has forced many members into collection proceedings. Is this how Priority One helps members win with money?
- Ms. Walker charged a $5000 laptop to the credit union credit card.
- Her version of a payday loan, titled Skip-a-Pay, crashed and burned but remains listed in the credit union’s portfolio of products.
- She and the President have manipulated financial reporting.
- She has been accused of creating a hostile working environment, of retaliation and harassment, of same-sex harassment, and of stalking a former branch manager.
- She has reduced budgets critical to marketing and business development.
- In recent months Ms. Walker determined with the assistance of Director of Project Management, Yvonne Boutte, that the credit union would begin selling VISA Gift Cards. Ms. Walker ordered the printing of promotional materials, research, and the creation of t-shirts to be worn by employees, on which were printed the word "VISA." Unfortunately, after spending had been conducted, her plan fizzled resulting in yet another waste of money.
Unbeknownst to many employees, Ms. Walker has numerous secondary part-time jobs with other companies including Williams-Sonoma located at 142 S. Lake Street, Pasadena, California. Ms. Walker is an avid fan and frustrated, interior designer who studied interior design at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California.
Because of her part-time positions at other companies, she often arrives late to work and leaves early. She being paid more than $100,000 per year to work part-time. She also signed an agreement when she was hired by the credit union in which she promised not to work for any other company where the work could prove to be a conflict of interest. Isn't it a conflict of interest that due to her extracurricular jobs that she only works part-time at Priority One?
PLUMMETING
Contrary to President Wiggington's periodic declarations to success, Priority One Credit Union is a credit union that is clearly, not "winning with money." Excerpts from it's September/October Income Statement record immense losses which serve to dispel any insistence by the credit union that things are progressively well. Clearly, they're not.
SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER
BLAST FROM THE PAST
The following record provides the amount of Total Net Income attained by the credit union at the end of each quarter in 2006. This was the last year in which William E. Harris served as President and CEO.
Quarter Ending March 2006: $163,502,140.00
Quarter Ending June 2006: $164,358,374.00
Quarter Ending September 2006: $173,252,329.00
Quarter Ending December 2006: $172,250,649.00
The above-shown amounts were achieved without prior to Priority One’s participation in Shared Branching or obtainment of a $20 million loan from the credit union’s line-of-credit. Furthermore, at the time of his retirement, Mr. Harris had just completed a merger with former Inland Counties Postal Credit Union of Riverside County. The merger was but one of several successfully completed by Mr. Harris during his tenure and which increased both the credit union’s member base and the amount of its Asset size.
EVIDENCE
Late last year, President Wiggington began telling some employees of the South Pasadena branch that at no time was he ever accused of sexual harassment. Some employees actually believed him.
The accusations were submitted to then credit union attorney, William Adler. Mr. Adler contacted the Board who contracted the services of EXTTI, Inc. The President was suspended with pay by the Board and after about six weeks, a meeting was conducted in South Pasadena in which the investigator provided evidence proving the President sexually harassed a former employees. The detective also recommended the President's termination. Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, would have none of it and with the help of Directors, O. Glen Saffold and Thomas Gathers, and Supervisory Committee Chair, Cornelia Simmons, voted for the reinstatement of the law-breaking President.
If it wasn't for former Director, Janice Irving, we may never have learned that the President was found guilty of sexual harassment, that the detective recommended his termination or that she and Director, Joe Marchica, voted for his termination.
This is the first time that we publish documentation proving President Wiggington was accused of sexual harassment and an investigation conducted. It should dispel his "stories" concocted to vindicate himself.
A letter written by Mrs. Harris-Brooks, describing the her determination that she and the Board determined sexual harassment had not occurred as defined under federal law, served to further victimize the President's accuser.
Below is a memorandum issued by Senior Vice President, Rodger Smock, informing all employees that the President would be away from the company temporarily on personal time off ("PTO").
The following form was issued by investigator, Scott Barer, to each employee he interviewed during his investigation of the President. Please not the inclusion of language which states that the employment of employees will not be affected. At no fault of EXTTI, Inc., the protection offered under the statement was insufficient for the President to carryout campaigns which resulted in the terminations of many employees. Also, following conclusion of the investigation, Vice President, Rodger Smock, at the request of Chairperson, Diedra Harris-Brooks, reported the former employee to CUNA following writing of a bad check.
Here is the copy of Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks's letter which responds to allegations lodged against the President. The document constitutes an intentional circumvention of ethics by the unscrupulous Board Chair, and ignorant Board of Directors to cover-up an egregious violation of federal law committed by the President.
In the first page of her letter, Diedra Harris-Brooks states that :"given our understanding of the circumstances, we do not believe the nature of the exchanges rises to the level of [having created] an unlawful, hostile working environment."
Apparently, Mrs. Harris-Brooks is not very astute. If she were, she might be able to comprehend that creation of a hostile working environment is but one factor used in determining whether sexual harassment has occurred. In the case of this employee, she was terminated after being sexually harassed for a number of years.
Mrs. Harris-Brooks' ability to delve decisions that are compliant to policies and laws is impeded by her dishonest proclivities. She is a horrendous Board Chair who has proven incapable of comprehending the credit union's financial reports, how then is she qualified to comprehend the nuances found in federal law?
In 2007, Mrs. Harris-Brooks revealed just how corrupt she is when she persecuted a Diector who obtained evidence that then AVP, Liz Campos had sustained more than 40 separate 40 NSF incidents to her Priority One checking account during the months of October 2006 through the first week of January 2007. At the time most of the incidents occurred, Mrs. Campos was a Branch Manager and despite her abuses, Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. deemed it prudent to promote her to AVP and reverse every NSF fee incurred as a result of her abuses. An investigation proved Mrs. Campos had been kiting which is a federal offense and the President was ordered to terminate her employment.
Despite the fact federal law had been violated, an incensed Mrs. Harris-Brooks threatened the Director who exposed the illegal acts perpetrated by the AVP and warned that in the future, she was to be given any evidence that exposed management personnel of violating federal law. Why would anyone do that? Mrs. Harris-Brooks is not an attorney.She is not a legal expert. She is not a licensed investigator. She's not even a competent Board Chair.
In her letter to the President, Ms. Harris-Brooks continues by stating, “Nevertheless, the Board of Directors is very concerned that the conduct alleges is not consistent with the Credit Union’s standards of conduct.” Is this woman a dolt? If the Board determined that they did not "believe the nature of the exchanges (between the President and his victim) attained a level deemed unlawful or which contributed to the creation of a hostile work environment" then why would the Board be "very concerned" about the President's behavior? Mrs. Harris-Brooks isn't even competent at being dishonest.
Continuing, Mrs. Harris-Brooks states the President must conduct himself in a manner consistent to credit union standards and policies. We invite Mrs. Harris-Brooks to provide us with a documented record approved by the Board which describes the alleged standard of conduct the President is required to abide to. Mrs. Harris-Brooks is dishonest so can we assume the standard she alludes to involves some level of dishonesty?
And when one considers the abhorrent behaviors demonstrated by President Wiggington, Senior Vice President, Rodger Smock; Human Resources "clerk", Esmeralda Sandoval; and former COO, Beatrice Walker, it is nothing less than incredible that Priority One has a documented standard of conduct that executives are expected to abide to.

She makes one reference to an "office holiday party" during which the President stood up, removed his belt and loudly informed the female employee that "I'm gonna whip that ass", "you know you want me to whip that ass", and "come here so I can whip that ass." Mrs. Harris-Brooks also instructs the President to be aware of the credit union's "Unlawful Harassment policies." Why, wasn't he aware that the credit union has a policy in place forbidding sexual harassment or that sexual harassment is against the law? Mrs. Harris-Brooks felt impelled to include this statement in her letter because she was present when the detective declared that Mr. Wiggington had indeed sexually harassed a former employee.

If so, on what dates and what findings were obtained from their inquiries? Despite her initial conclusion that no wrong doing occurred, after mailing of a letter to Mr. Wiggington and another to the grievant, the former employee filed a complaint with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing. In response, the Board presented two offers over a seven (7) month period, one in the amount of $20,000 and the second in the amount of $40,000, both of which were declined by the former employee. Why offer to pay the employee money to settle her claim if no wrong doing was committed by President Wiggington? In fact, when Mrs. Harris-Brooks called the President to advise him that the former employee would be offered money to settle her claim, President Wiggington loudly exclaimed, “Just offer her the money. I want her off my back!” Odd response from an allegedly innocent man. Mrs. Harris-Brooks letter is filled with inconsistencies and she admits he committed wrong doing but possibly due to her lack of ethics, decided he was worth retaining and in the end, she was a participant in committing a travesty of justice and contributed to the decline and deterioration of a once proud and promising credit union.

THEFT OF $60,000
Priority One has decided to seek the prosecution of a former receptionist once assigned to the Los Angeles branch ["LAPDC"]. In late 2009, an audit performed by external auditor, Turner, Warren, Hwang and Conrad discovered the former employee absconded with approximately approximately $60,000 pillaged from member accounts.
The President and then COO, Beatrice Walker, were told by Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, that the credit union could not afford the incident to become public. Our publication of the incident forced the Board Chair to change her mind and now, the credit union has decided to proceed with prosecution. How any credit union could even consider to try dismiss the incident is almost unimaginable but this is a company populated by corrupt officers.
BREAKING THE RULES HARRIS-BROOKS STYLE
The following letter was signed by Board of Directors, Chairperson, Diedra Harris-Brooks, and mailed to member, Jeffrey Chen, requesting that he respond to the board’s “acknowledgment correspondence” and “application” so that he run as a candidate for a seat on the Board of Directors during last year’s election. Mr. Chen was initially approached by Board member, Bobby Thomas, who is also an officer of the National Letter Carriers Association, Branch 24, and asked to run a seat on the Board. The actual intent of Mr. Thomas, who is the only carbon copied in Mrs. Harris-Brooks letter, was to impede the chances of candidate, David L. Davidson, from winning a seat on the Board. For those who may have forgotten, Mr. Davidson had once served as a Board member and is the Director who received an anonymous letter exposing an AVP personally appointed by President Wiggington, and who had committed kiting, a federal offense.
Mr. Davidson responsibly submitted the letter to credit union attorney, William Adler who contacted the Board and President Wiggington and ordered an audit of the AVP’s checking account. Incensed that Mr. Davidson submitted the letter to attorney, Adler, Mrs. Harris-Brooks chastised Mr. Davidson during a Board meeting, admonishing him for not having first presented the letter to the Board and allowed them to resolve the problem. Mrs. Harris-Brooks may have forgotten that neither she or any member of the Board is qualified to dispense a decision regarding a punishable offense under state law and that none of them are licensed attorneys.
In the case of the 2009 election, Mrs. Harris-Brooks violated state law when she accepted Mr. Chen’s letter after the date had expired when all applications could be submitted. Here is her letter to Mr. Chen:
The rampant business and legal problems festering at the credit union may have been caused by the President but were enabled by the credit union's corrupt and ignorant Board and it's heinous Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks. The amoral Chair has spent years hiding evidence of unethical and criminal behavior but fortunately, it was Director, Janice Irving, the only honest Director on the Board at the time the President was investigated, who disclosed that a detective had gathered evidence proving the President sexually harassed a former employee. It was the Chair and four of her lackeys who decided ignoring federal laws and hiding evidence was both prudent and good for the credit union, for members, and for employees.

You didn't give all the details about that HELOC. A few months ago, Priority 1 filed a claim with CUNA. I think because the enconomy is so bad, CUNA didn't just pay the claim and they investigated. The HELOC was processed a long time ago, when Aaron Cavazos used to manage the loan department. When a member funds a HELOC the money goes into a checking account and stayes there until the term is finished. In this case, Priority One forgot to close the checking account after the term ended. A long time later, the members, a husband and wife, took $100,000 out of the checking account without paying it back. When Priority 1 did find out it was too late. When CUNA investigated, HR gave him the phone numbers of t he ex-employees who used to work there to see if they remembered the case. Kind of stupid on the part of the company since what loan processor or officer can remember the claims they processed years ago? The investigator found out that a lot of times, Priority 1forgets to close the checking accounts after a HELOC is closed but this is probably one of the few times when the members took the money after the term date. In the end its the fault of P1 for not closing the account. I think the problem is the fault of Wiggington who oversees the whole cu, Bea who is supposedly supposed to take care of internal problems, and Robert West, who is supposed to make sure employees are trained and that means that employees should know that when a loan is paid that you close it out.

She told members that the cu never got their letters even though the letters were in her desk. When she was branch manager, one of her ex-employees stole a bunch of travelers cheques which they used to sell in those days. Those checks all got cashed but she didn't go after the employees because she was afraid they were going to fire her.
And John, Jenee Martin didn't steal $53,000, she stole $60,000! Bea Walker told Lynette it was better if they kept everything in the DL so there would be no more bad news about the credit union. And whoever wrote Lynette was having Jenee to teller work, receptionist, FSR, and ATM custodian is so right but if you look at Jenee's job description bet it doesn't say she was supposed to do all those things which is against state law! You can blame the last part on Miss Smock.

He convinced the board and even told them that Mr. Harris never wanted Shared Branching because he was trying to hold Priority One back in the stone age. So Charlie, how did that work for you? Here some facts, CFO Saeid Raad is reporting the money paid to telephone technicians under consultants. The credit union may be doing really bad but they're paying about $250 an hour on telephone consultants, not $200!
And Charlie, why did you borrow that $20 million in 2008? Ego? Maybe trying to lie on paper and pretend the credit union was doing much better under you then under Harris? Mr. Harris never borrowed from the line of credit because there was no need to and he knew paying $31,000 a monthy in interest would hurt the credit union. So Charlie, how has that benefited the credit union? Did you ever think that every month when you pay $31,000, that's just one more employee job you could have saved?

Last year, Diedra, Bea Walker, and Wigg campaigned against Janice Irving because they didn't want her re-elected to the board. 4 things to look for when the November and December reports come out. 1 is the amount of the loan allowance, their amount of profit for each month and the YTD total, and asset size. They don't make the amount of their deliquencies public on the report but based on their overall losses, its probably high. Looking at the October report it looks like Wigg and Bea are trying to get priority one to become a 1 or 2 branch operation. Cutting back expenses is 1 thing, cutting back size and profit that's another.
Everyone makes mistakes but at Priority One there are too many cover-ups. You're right about Lynnette Fortson, she should have been fired for negligence. Her branch is really busy but not because of anything she does. She doesn't even leave her office to go and meet with the community to get new business.
When the auditors from Turner, Warren, Hwang, and Conrad showed up in 2009 at the Los Angeles branch they spent three weeks auditing records. Lynnette was scared and so nervous and even said she was praying that she wasn't going to get fired. When they finished the audit they told the company Jenee Martin took more than $55,000 in money before she left on maternity leave and never returned. The auditors said money was taken from cd's and from accounts even deceased member accounts. She got into people's accounts and transferred monies to a dummy account. The incident that gave the heads up to the company happened when a member opened a $11,000 cd with Jenee. Jenee then changed the cd amount to $4000 and transferred the rest to the dummy account. She wasn't alone because the auditors found the money was later withdrawn by friends and family from an atm in Long Beach. The company should have prosecuted Jenee but instead Wigg said it would be scandalous if it became public and Bea agreed saying the credit union couldn't afford the bad publicity. They decided to pay the member back the money that had been taken from her cd plus all the interest but Wigg and Bea said they would not pay back money taken from deceased member accounts or from accounts where the members didn't notice their money was stolen, unless claims were filed. In the case of a dead member, family would have to file the claim. I don't know but I think what Wigg and Bea did is illegal and the cu should pay ALL the money back and Wigg and Bea should be sued or at least fined.
Why is Wiggington still president?
Wow, the documents. their pretty telling. I've read this blog on and off but when you actually see company documents verifying this stuff, its really telling that something is wrong at the credit union and that a lot of people have covered up.
Diedra covered up for all the bad things the board, Wigg and Bea did. Bea backstabbed and fired anyone she thought was going to expose her. Wigg did the same thing with the help of Rodger. Its been one cover up after another since Wigg became president. Too bad because it shows in the financials. Over 1/2 million in the negative and they still don't get it.
Wiggington isn't as dumb as a lot of people think. Yes, he's dishonest but he does understand financials and he can make projections based on the figures. In that I won't deny him. Problem with Wiggington is he's an egotist and can't keep quiet about anything. He brags about himself, lies about others, he makes promises he will never keep, and he is the worst violator of confidentiality. There is not one reason why the cu is in decline but he definitely is one reason. Bea on the other hand is completely unqualifed to be COO but the fault for both of them is the board who are misled by Diedra and the Supervisory Committee who chose to sit back and watch the cu fall. The board and supevisory committee should be removed by the state but its going to take members complaining to make that happen and I think P1's members are either apathetic or lazy. No doubt, the cu is hanging on by its teeth.

Well, they have less contributions to match now that they have less employees and branches thanks to Wiggington and Walker. They also are training Alex, the teller in IT without posting the job and without him having any experience. Who is going to train him, Randy McBride, Wigg, or Bea? Its a circus down at the old cu.
According to the November report their worth about $146,000,000. That's $26,000,000 less than when Mr Harris left. If they're going to start matching 401lk contributions its because Bea is putting up one of her fronts to make things look like they're doing good or because she and Saeid think they're going to get profit from saving money now that they don't have Redlands or Valencia. Whatever the reason, they aren't getting new business and their dq's are way high which means Yvonne Boutte ain't cutting it.....again

In Sept Sylvia told Judith that Bea decided to make her asst branch mgr of Burbank but now Bea has Judith driving all the way to Santa Clarita to manage that office. Sylvia also told Dana that Bea was considering her to head the Santa Clarita office but now she has Dana driving from her home in Lancaster to Burbank to work as a temp ABM. Amber is an FSR and she worked out of Santa Clarita but now Bea has her driving all the way to South Pasadena to work as a teller. Plus they put out an ad in the paper saying their looking for a part-time person for Santa Clarita. Isn't Adrianna at Santa Clarita and wasn't Amber an FSR there for a long time? And why not put an ad for the position of the California/Nev league website or on P1's own web site?
I don't know how many credit unions are as mismanaged as P1 but its amazing they're still standing. Their reports show they're worth less now then they were in 2009, 2008, and 2007 and that I believe. But I don't believe they're reporting correctly and they certainly aren't showing the public what their delinquencies are or what they're actually reporting under consultants. Any company's report is only as valid as what you put in it. The documents that are being published here show that management has been untruthful and have lied about a lot. If they've lied about these things they've lied about a lot.

Like any business, the Valencia branch was only as good as its leader. If you remember, that branch hadn't been doing well for awhile and one of their better managers was forced out by lies told by Dana, Judith and Sylvia.
After that manager left, the last manager worked to develop a great team and territory. They had a lot of success, problem is that Dana and Judith were still there. In Sept when the manager went out on leave, Bea and Sylvia got Dana and Judith to complain about the BM just like they had about the previous BM. Sylvia told Judith that Bea decided to make her ABM at Burbank and they moved her there. Remember, Judith was there from Sept-Dec as ABM. Sylvia also told Dana that Bea had plans to promote her but after the BM quit in October, Bea decided to make Judith, Dana and other candidates interview for the ABM job at Burbank and Santa Clarita. Then Bea orders that Judith who was supposedly the perm ABM of Burbank, to go to Santa Clarita and work and she orders Dana who lives in Lancaster to go to Burbank to work as the temp ABM. Then Bea takes Amer the FSR away from Santa Clarita and sends her to South Pasadena to work as a teller. All this is verifiable, call any of the branches. Guess Bea used Dana and Judith to get complaints against the former BM of Valencia who has gone to a better place. Bea Walker who could ruin Disneyland, doesn't need Dana or Judith and probably doesn't need Sylvia, so now she's treating them the way they treated the old BM. Guess what goes around comes around.

That explanation actually makes sense. Wiggington has always been about self because all the cut-backs particularly the early ones were of employee benefits. They started off cutting out payday goodies, then asking employees to give-up 1 day a week or 1 day a month, then stopping contributions to their 401K's, and finally making a lot of employees part-time and taking away their medical benefits. It makes sense that if self-serving Wiggington wants to benefit during this period when their dropping in value, that he put money into his 401k. Nice example of "people helping people."
Remember in March 2009, right after the blog started, that Charles Wiggington started installing extra cameras outside in office, inside his office, in the hall by the bathrooms, and in the lobby. He was standing in the old credit resolutions dept telling Rodgers that he would be able to see if someone was coming to his office with a gun. Then he had Sepia come in after and look for bugs in his office. He kept saying, I know someone's recording me and putting the stuff on the blog. Guess the stuff on the blog was true otherwise why would he say he was being recorded? He also had Septia scan employee computers because he said the blogger was writing the blog from a computer in the south pasadena branch.

Right on! Thanks to Charles and Bea Walker most employees can't afford to pay into their 401k. Since October, Charles has been telling some people he's thinking of retiring so he can spend more time with the kids. What kids? His half daughters have babies and his youngest, Chuck Jr, is 18. So why talk about retirement? Charles is never going to hear any employee except Sylvia Perez say, "Oh Charles, please don't go." You know he doesn't have what it taks to make money for P1. So is he waiting to run P1 totally in the ground or waiting for some other cu to take over? If P1 merges the new owner will get rid of Charles, Bea, Rodger, Saeid, and Randy.

Big surprise. Charles Wiggington beefing up his 401k. At least he's keeping up his image as a selfish and stupid. The cu industry is small enough that a lot of people know about Wigg and his antics. No other cu is going to be stupid enough to hire him unless Diedra is on the board. And a lot cu's are getting resumes from employees of P1 proof people want out of P1.
The Valencia branch is a metaphor for what Bea Walker has done to the entire credit union. Valencia was one of Priority One's only branches where employees conducted themselves professionally, where the branch manager possessed the abilities to both run the branch and achieve goals, and where despite to presence of two historically troublesome employees, complaints were few and employee performance excelled.
Beatrice Walker arrived at the scene and was impressed by the branch manager's abilities and expertise and actually seemed to liked and admire her for a time.
However, when the branch manager showed that she did not embrace all of Ms. Walker's ideas, the COO viewed her as the enemy and started to abuse her, first by alienating her and refusing to respond to the manager's business inquiries and later, by taking away her assistant and transferring her to Burbank to work as the "Permanent" ABM. Then Ms. Walker out of uncontrolled anger, ordered closure of the Valanencia branch despite the location's record proving growth in membership and new business. After the BM quit, Ms. Walker pulled the "permanent" ABM and sent her to wokr in Santa Clarita. She took the FSR from Santa Clarita and sent her to the main office work as a teller and she took the FSR who was promised a position in Santa Clarita, to Burbank.
She caused the closure of a successful branch, displaced and inconvenienced the former employees of that branch, broke promises, initiated acts that are illogical and emotional, and drove out a great branch manager and others. Look at the whole operation and all you see is that what she did at Valencia she has done to all of Priority One. Cut-backs, losses in business, alientation of all branch staffs, creation of a miserable working environment, losses of sharessss, elimination of employee benefits and ridiculous cuts to budgets and Valenica is a perfect example of what Beatrice Walker has done to the entire credit union. With she, Wiggington, and Diedra Harris-Brooks in place, don't expect things to get better. None of them have any idea about what it requies to be a CEO, COO or Board Chairperson.
Even if Wigg is talking about retiring he's still there and he doesn't really want to leave or he would have already done it. Where else is homeboy going to get away with doing so little for so much salary? If the board kept him this long its not because they trust him but because their stupid and afraid what might happen if a new ceo comes in. A new ceo could make the board work and Diedra wouldn't be able to control a new ceo the way she does Wigg. Plus a new ceo might fire Bea, Saeid and Randy. For this board keeping this loser benefits them. .

In 2009, a pipe leaked water in Wigg's office. Bea took advantage and had her office and Wiggs remodeled. Her office didn't need remodeling so did she do it so she could feel like a real COO? And then she told employees "the insurance paid for it." I saw the bills, the insurance paid for the pipe repairs and wall damage in Wigg's office but all the other things were paid with credit union money. And those pics in her office of Europe didn't take a genius to know she is the person who called herself Saltieri on this blog and who attacked employees. So what did she accomplish that made P1 better because the monthlies show loss after loss?

Now let's see, who is exactly to blame for all the wrong at Priority 1? If an employee speaks up, do you lose your job? And if you do not speak up, then you suffer! The problem is everyone who is afraid to speak up. Anyone who works at Priority 1 sees just how wonderful Wigg is with the board and since the board do not know anything about financials, Wigg talks to them like he knows what he's doing but the reports show he doesn't know what he's doing. Like he used to say, he played the game and he won.
By kissing up he got the big prize. He used to stay late at work, kiss the butt of anyone he knew might help him get ahead and he lied, lied, lied. He lied to the Board and he lied to Mr. Harris. If we all had guts like you John, Wigg and his group would be out.
HR and Wigg knew that just a few years ago, some members of the loan dept covered up for Aaron Cavazos and that included Pat loiacano. When we told her that Aaron ordered a staff member to forge the names of members on the power of attorney forms where loan processors and officers forgot to ask them to sign, Patti did not do a damn thing though that was illegal.
When employees complained to HR that Aaron was harassing them, HR didn't do what they were supposed to and ignored the complaints.
When employees told HR that Aaron was taking 2 to 3 hour lunches (like Wigg and Bea Walker) HR did nothing. NO, THEY DID NOT!!!! There were times that Mr. Harris was looking for Aaron and Patti and Georgina Duenas covered up and lied for Aaron.
Whenever HR and Wigg did things that were against policy and abused employees, NO ONE TOOK IT UP A STEP! It seems like a lot of people who have read this blog know a lot about what Wigg has done, like stealing the member's car and about what he was planning to do to Lynette and what he did to Maggie, and yes, even what he wanted to do to Generis. He wanted them all out and guess what, no one took a step up to do anything except the person or persons who write this blog?

You're right. I called South Pasadena today and was told that they don't have November's report. How is that possible? I think its time to complain AGAIN to the DFI. And yes, its time to get that old she goat Diedra out and get someone in who is honest, smart, and who cares about the cu.

When you CHOOSE to lie you will always forget the lie and sometimes they lead to bigger and bigger problems. Example, a few months ago Bea and Wigg decided they knew who the blogger was after firing other people for being the blogger. Wigg called the employee to the main office and told him the cu found out he was down loading nude male pictures. Wigg also had this guy in the office who wouldn't give his name. The guy accused the employee of downloading the pics at work and of being ONE of the bloggers. A few weeks later when the EDD called the cu, HR clerk, Esmeralda Sandoval lied and told the government that the employee was confused and didn't know what he was talking about and that never happened. If you quit or you get fired, employees get a paper to sign and it says why they are leaving or being let go. This employee never got a paper plus he was let go by someone who was not an employee of the cu.
If you know the main office you know that anything that is said in Wigg's office or Bea's office can be heard. Guess they never heard of sound proof. And there's a wall between Wigg's office and Bea's with about a 6" opening that runs from floor to ceiling next to the windows. So anything that Wigg says in his office, Bea can hear and vice versa. On the day the employee was called in, Wigg acted like a baby girl and he yelled at the unnamed guy telling him he didn't care if the blog stayed up as long as 5 things were removed from the blog. One of the things he said is he didn't want to be called a sexual harasser anymore. He should of saved his speech for Diedra since she wrote that letter that said he harassed. They guy and him argued over the blog.
Next door Big Foot Yvonne and Bread Puddin' Face Walker were sitting by the wall listening to everything that went on in Wigg's office just like if they were still in high school.

Thats right, a lot of postal workers think the credit union is part of the post office. P1 was found by postal carriers to help postal carriers. P1 is its own company. Some businesses and hospitals set up their own credit unions but P1 was not set up by the USPS. Anyone who is a member in good standing can run for a seat on the board but the board thats their right now is made up of active and retired postal workers. Each of the board members except for maybe Mrs. Irving, is not qualified to be on the board. They mostly just agree with whatever Diedra Harris-Brooks says. Why? Because they don't understand financials. There should be a public forum with members present and each board member should be handed a monthly financial statement and
a production report showing the amount of deposits, shares, delinquencies and asked to explain the information in each. If they are qualified they provide projections about the cu's future based on what they read on the reports. You want proof if they know what they're doing, test them.

She worked Williams Sonoma last year. She still has other part-time jobs with other companies and if you see her leaving work early on specific days its because she's off to her second job.

Anyway, they ended November with a big negative -$649,188 and they only made $11,528 for the whole month. That's about the cost of a new small inexpensive car. I can't wait to see December's report which should be available next week. The NCUA should have their last 2010 quarter earnings posted at the end of January or beginning of February.

They allowed sexual harassment, taking a car that belonged to a member, making racist comments about Mescians, slandering an ex-manager, and wrongfully firing a lot of employeesss. So what did they achieve? They ruined P1's reputation, lost business, and made P1 smaller by closing branches. All that hard work by Mr. Harris and the CEO's before him, all down the drain. So true. Employees could take legal action if they are threatened, abused, or harassed (look at what state and federal law say). Members also have more than enough evidence to file complaints to the DFI and they can demand removal of the entire board (or just Diedra). And at priority, titles mean everything to people who couldn't get hired by another cu. From the hr clerk, the training/education/hr manager, the assistant avp, loan manager, director of project management, senior vp, cfo, it manager, coo, and the president all act like title = competency but even they are not so stupid to know they are all dishonest and disliked.
You guys were right, Gema did get promoted. On the intranet it says she's the assistant avp over Riverside and the call center. Okay, I have a question. They no longer have a Redlands branch and they kept that closet size Riverside branch open. So what exactly is she doing for Riverside? And the call center is the worst with too many calls and staff that are rushed. At first the call center was Bea's baby but she couldn't handle it because she spent $70,000 without making a plan. No wonder you're no longer at Honda CU. She then gave the acall center to Joseph and he had it for about a month. Then she put Yvonne over it for a short time. So what is lazy ass Gema going to do to make it better?
Wigg, Bea and Saeid changed their mind about opening a small branch in Santa Clarita with access to non-USPS employees. Bea says they can't afford it (but they can afford her salary?). And Wigg said that he's trying to get approval to turn the Santa Clarita branch located inside the USPS distribution ctr to a cashless branch. What kind of branch goes cashless? You closed down Valencia, so you took away the only non-postal branch. Now you have a branch that only postal employees can use but its going to be cashless. How does that make sense? And Wigg, what do you expect to get from it? Wigg says the budget is forcing them to do this plus having it cashless means they only need one employee at that office. The hours at SC are Mon, Tues from 10:30-5:30, Wed its closed, and Thur/Fri from 6 to 1. What happened to "We are your financial fitness center?" A lot of members in SC have closed their accounts (big surprise there) and people are complaining about poor service. AND loans are DOWN again! So where's the business?
Charles has been saying things are getting better but their putting limits even on how many miles some business development people can drive. I thought the dept was called "business development?"

Thats why Dana came back early from maternity because she believed you when you told her she would be promoted as soon as the old branch manager was out. And why did Esmeralda say that after interviewing for the assistant branch manager postion, you said Dana, Judith, and James were not qualified. Last year Bea laid off Theresa the bsa officer. Rodger told her they were getting rid of her position. 3weeks later Bea replaced her with a “temp” BSA officer. Then Bea got rid of one of the AVP at South Pasadena but promotes Gema to “assistant” AVP. Bea did the same thing when she got rid of Linda the Burbank branch manager. She said that office didn’t need a branch manager. A branch without a branch manager? Then Bea replaces Linda with temporary assistant branch managers and makes Sylvia who is an AVP to work as Burbank branch manager.
Bea did the same thing with Kim. Rodger said Irma the reception was going to x-train tempory with Kim who was Wiggs asst. Kim never went back to her desk and Bea lay her off last year and Irma is still Wigg's assistant. Its the same old Walker and Wigg crap they do to get people out. That and moving employees to offices that are far away from their home. They probably think no one notices.

To TRY and save Prioriy means voting in people who understand financials and who want to understand financials. You need people who are willing to learn and who care about the CU, the members, and the employees. You could NEVER get Chase, B of A, CITI or any bank to hire and pay these people to serve on their boards. Getting Diedra out is HUGE and important. Getting a knowledgeable Chairperson is imperative! I don't know if Cornelia's seat is up for re-election but when the time comes, get her out too, because under her the supervisory committee has done absolutely nothing. Read the annual reports for the last 3 years, Cornelia ALWAYS writes that according to her and her committee everything is just fine. Really? You lost over $26 million since Wigg took over so how is everything fine?
I was at the 2009 and 2010 annual meeting at South Pasadena and Cornelia got up and said something like the supervisory committee feels everything is running fine. She needs to start showing up with a seeing eye dog and a white cane. The only reason they have them it to feed people who go them bullshit. Ever notice that only staff members, the board and supervisory committee attend? Every April they say things are good but its a big lie. Thats why Diedra and Wigg keep the meetings to no more than 30 minutes long. They should call it the Annual Lying Meeting because that's all they do. Everything they say is a lie and doesn't match what's in the annual report or the monthly reports or those production reports that Saed, Bea, Wigg and Randy read.

When a person nominates themselves to run on the board, aren't they interviewed by Diedra Harris Brooks? Since her position is up for election, isn't that a conflict of interest? No one whose seat is up for re-election should be allowed to interview candidates. Another thing, the board determines if a candidate is in good standing which means doing a lot of checks on their finances. Who is going to do checks on the current board. I bet if a check is required they would find that some of the current board don't meet the qualifications to serve.
Why did they keep him after they found he did improper gestures and language? Seems like he would hve been a liability and that he ruined the company reputaton.

Rodger used to be over BD but he dodin't know anything about making business grow. You never saw him get out of his chair and show staff how what he supposedly knows really works. Bea says they can't afford to buy supplies or pay for a lot of mileage but how much did she spend o rececorating and how did that make P1 a better credit uniion?
You never see Lynnette or Gema in the field brining in new business. Syvlia plays it safe and never has any original ideas. She just agrees with everything Bea and Wigg tells her because its safe.
Wigg keeps saying the NCUA told him to close Valencia and Riverside because they were not bringing in money and Bea said the rents were too high. So why didn't they move to cheaper locations? Instead they cut off all service to those areas. They don't know how to attract new business and don't believe a single lie Wigg says because the manh is trouble.
That NCUA bit is a crock of crap Wigg spits out to dupe people into thinking it wasn't in his power to keep Redlands and Valencia open. He used the same excuse in November when he said that all credit unions are losing business because of the economy. With Wigg its always someone elses fault and never his. The cu lost business because the economy. The cu was told to close branches by the NCUA. He didn't sexually harass the woman, she made him do it. Now the board who are either as dishonest as him or as stupid as mud, back him up and outside of preserving the same color board, I can't imagine why they back up someone who proved he couldn't lead fish to water. I guess the race card can be used for more than just defending yourself in court.
They're 2 faced. The board is a bunch of directors who want respect because they are black but if someone would do all the things they have done over the years they would be the first to cry discrimination.
I was just on the NCUA page and P1's figures for the last quarter in 2010 are not posted yet. Still if you look at the last quarter reported ending 9/30/10, you see that they went from $310,004 at the end of Mar 2010 to -$760,253 at the end of Sept 2010. Since they played around with the numbers for Jan 2010, the amount of profit was probably a lot less than the $310,004. Still, that means that in 9 months they lost a total of $1,070,253 (Add $310,004 to $760,253). Yes, that's a lot less than the $5,458,432 they lost in 2009 but it still means no profit. That means that even though they closed 2 branches, fired lots of employees, took away benefits, put people on part-time, and cut the budgets for a lot of programs which you need to get business they're still in the negative. You might see a promotion here and there and you'll hear Wiggington and Bea Walker say "things are great" or "we're growing" but that's not what the NCUA reports say and seeing that they are working on small budgets, that is proof they are not doing well. The only one's benefiting are management because Wigg, Bea, Saied, Randy and the AVPs have not suffered salary cut-backs. The way they've planned it, is that cut backs hurt the work force but don't affect executive salaries. Now they can start fresh in January 2011 but are they going to play with the numbers again so that they pretend they made business?
I heard employees are miserable at all offices but worse at the main ofc. Its really sad that there is disconnect and that the COO doesn't understand a healthy working place means improved business. that and actually offering good products and service which right now they don't have. They really have nothing that makes them outstand from other cu's. too bad.
At this point anything they report for the beginning 2011 wont' matter since they already have a history of playing with numbers but what will matter is whatever they reported at the end of 2010 will matter even if they played with the numbers. They don't have that much to play with anymore.
Like its been said over and over again, any money that is coming in is not because of new business its because of cut backs and branch closings which only means they are spending less. Have you seen their advertising? How about their news letter? Its like year to year they get worse and worse? Whose doing their marketing, the local elementary school? They have more expensive executives and no results to justify their salaries. They may have needed a coo (up for debate) but they didn't need Bea Walker. They didn't need Wiggington and they could have kept Gaitmaitan who was at least honest but instead hired a more expensive CFO. They are too top heavy for a medium size cu and they seem to be going for small. Too many chiefs and a lot of part time underpaid indians.
Bea and Wigg has posion this credit union the only way i see them geeting out of this mess is to fire both of them NOW!!! Why wait until the decorated walls come falling down.

Sylvia is like West and their both just 2 of a big herd of hypocrites. Bea jacked up the policy so it would be easier to fire people who break confidentiality by she's the one who backstabbed the Valencia manager and she's the one who backstabbed a lot of employees incluing the ex-marketing specialist. I don't know what more amazing, all the posts reporting wrong doing and now the actual documents or that members, dfi, and ncua haven't done anything to hold the board, supervisory committee, the president and other officers accountable for the mess at Priority 1. They lost 2 branches in 2009 and not because the NCUA ordered closing them. That's just a ridiculous story. Priority 1 was probably told that to remain in business they had to unload the branches that were costing too much to operate. The NCUA or DFI won't just look at a cu and say, "Hey how about closing some of your branches cause you got too many." If a credit union is in trouble, they will try to find solutions to keep a troubled cu in business even if it means closing branches. If the president is using the excuse that they closed 2branches because the NCUA told them to, then he's lying. There are plenty of cu's out there with a lot of branches and as far as I know there is no limit as to how many branches you can have. Plus when they had to receive state approval to get chartered in Santa Clarita and Riverside, so the excuse that they were told to close branches is not the whole picture. Shame on you President Wiggington for distorting the truth.
It doesn't matter what Wigg says because he lies. Everything he says contradcits the cu reports and they show loans dropping, lot of accounts closing and more delinquencies. Plus have you seen Wigg? Guess P1 had to bring Universal and Wholesale back because Bea's friend, Auto Alliance, ain't cutting it.
Yvonne got ANOTHER promotion. She's now the vp of support services. They lost so much money in December so I don't get how January comes around and they promote Gema to asst avp and now Yvonne. Didn't Yvonne get a promotion last year to director of project management. In 2 1/2 years she went from collections manager to vp of support services. So did they give her a raise? Funny how management is giving out promotions to management but a lot of employees are still working part-time and without benefits. They did say their going to start contributing again to the 401k plan but that's for management because part time employees with no benefits can't afford to contribute to 401k. Management sucks and I want to know what exactly is Yvonne doing, it can't be collections because they're way up.
I think the promo was Saeid idea. Bea and Yvonne don't hang around anymore but that could be a big front because of all those posts people put up about their
"friendship." Bea takes lunch with Joseph Garcia and spends a lot of time with Gema which doesn't make sense because Gema is Mexican and last year Bea said Mexicans at South Pas are members of Mexican mafia. What we all know is the company is contributing again to the 401k but that only helps managment because most employees can't afford to pay into it. They are promoting managers and not regular employees and they aren't buying supplies and they only reimbuse people for expenses once a month. Loans are way down and delinquencies high but management is getting promotions and raises.

Old Wiggy and his posey of losers, Bea, Esmeralda and her cousin, Gema, Robert West, Sylvia Perez, amd Rodger Smock are all self-serving doing whatever it takes to sponge off the cu even if it means interfering with elections, firing good employees, wasting money, and stealing other people's ideas. Why would Yvonne need a new title to do her job? She was hired to take care collections and deliquencies are high. So what is she supposed to focus on now? If Gema got prmoted to Assistant to the Assistant VP then who is the AVP she's assisting? And doesn't an AVP have to be assisting a VP? It makes as much sense as making Wigg president and Bea COO. Isn't West the Human Resources/Education/Training Manager? And is Joseph still Loan/Credit Manager? And what's Esmeralda's real title? HR clerk? And Rodger's responsibilities got taken away but he's still Senior VP. Senior VP of what? Have you noticed Yvonne's attitude since she was made VP? Its funny how fat home girls head got.
Based on what some people write here it looks like P1 might be trying to get some employees to quit by cutting hours, taking away benefits and reassigning them to branches that are far from their homes. Driving far might not be a problem to managers who make $100k a year but really cuts deep into an employee's budget if they only get paid $12 to $15 an hour. Remember if you quit, the company can say you don't qualify for unemployment benefits because you quit. That means you'll probably have to fight them and go to a hearing. You thought things were confused already. Today, Joseph Garcia was put over member service. They took the call center from him and gave it to Gema because he couldn't handle it. Really? After a year they realized that the call center sucks almost as much as Wigg and Bea. When Bea Walker brought Joseph over from Redlands she said he was to be a temp call center manager but he kissed her no-butt back so much that she promoted him to loan manager a few weeks later. Come to think about it he's not cutting it in the loan department either so are they going to give loans to someone else? That Bea so good at assigning people where they don't belong. So is Wigg because he put Bea over operations and the board is the best because they put Wigg over the whole

Its true, Yvonne and Bea don't speak much around the office anymore and its not a front because behind her back, Yvonne's got a lot to say about Bea, how she acts, and how she manages the credit union. Bea was snakey when she got to P1 and played Wigg until she had enough power to take a lot of his responsibilies, but Yvonnes is actually way smarter than Bea and she has been able to work Bea like a clown at a children's birthday party. A lot of the decisions and idea that Bea "thought of" were really Yvonne's and unlike Bea, Yvonne is not insecure about her looks and does't react to everything emotionally.
Oh that Bea, she always keeps it interesting.

Bea is boring. Its obvious something changed here because Yvonne talks about her and they used to be close frineds. It will be interesting to see if Bea, Diedra and Wiggington try to rig the elections like they did last year.
