On Wednesday, July 13, 2011, Priority One Credit Union's COO, Beatrice Walker was informed that her employment was being terminated immediately. She was escorted to her office where she picked up her purse and informed that her personal possessions would be packed and shipped to her in a few days. It was an unceremonious expulsion for a woman whose abusive tendencies overshadowed any of her alleged efforts to reverse the cycle of financial losses set into motion by President Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. She won't be missed.
Within a day following her ouster, President Wiggington and AVP, Rodger Smock, both began informing employees at the South Pasadena branch that they can expect "big changes."
Since Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. began his appointment to President on January 1, 2007, we've constantly heard him say that he's planning to make "big changes" yet the only changes we've witnessed are a sharp decline in net income, the rampant abuse of employees, the deterioration of relations between the credit union and members, and the weakening of employee morale.
So what other "big changes" is the President alluding to? He is the person who introduced his friend, Beatrice Walker, to the credit union and their plot to flush out "enemy" employees might have worked had she not decided that she wanted to become Priority One's next President.
Ms. Walker considered most employees of the credit union too ethnic for her liking. She though them less educated and thus less intelligent than herself. She certainly wasn't shy about pointing out that the President was "too ghetto", "too gruff", "to unsophisticated" and "too unrepresentable" to head the credit union. She was actually correct.
On June 2, 2009, AVP, Rodger Smock, issued a memo to all employees announcing the hiring of Ms. Walker as the credit union's new and first COO and extolled her expertise in business development and streamling. The dense AVP proved once again, that he is a man whose personal opinions are eventually proven to be untrue. Ms. Walker very quickly provide to be a deterrent to business and employee morale. She was insufferable, undisciplined, abusive and immensely dishonest.
By October 2009, Ms. Walker had convinced the ignorant Board of Directors that if allowed, she would implement strategies that would reap profit and which would dispel the many problems caused by President Wiggington's many failed projects. Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, smitten by Ms. Walker agreed to provide her with the freedom needed to implement whatever she deemed necessary to restore Priority One to the state of prosperity enjoyed in the many years before Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. was appointed President.
During the last quarterly all-staff meeting conducted at the main branch in South Pasadena, California, the shift in power was noticeable to most employees. The President did not attend the meeting. Furthermore, he arrived at the branch 15 minutes before the meeting was scheduled to end and quietly passed out Christmas bonus checks. Employees were grateful for the bonuses but perplexed, because it was a well known fact that the credit union was continuing to lose money.
It wasn't until 10 days later that some employees discovered the decision to pass out Christmas bonus checks had been suggested to the Board by Ms. Walker who convinced them that the checks might serve to bring an end to the blog. She was wrong.
By January 2010, Ms. Walker had formed a clique consisting of Director of Project Management, Yvonne Boutte, and Real Estate and Consumer Loan Manager, Joseph Garcia. Mrs. Boutte and Mr. Garcia became her confidants and she often conducted meetings in her office with only Mrs. Boutte and Mr. Garcia present and clearly sending a message to President Wiggington and AVP, Rodger Smock, that they were not only part of her inner sanctum, they were also not welcome to her meetings.
By March 2010, Ms. Walker had grown confidant enough to start boasting about her plans to become the credit union's next President and CEO and disclosing plans to drive AVP, Rodger Smock, and Training and Education Manager, Robert West, out of the credit union
By May 2010, she had grown weary of being the subject of employee gossip and complaints and decided to escalate efforts to terminate any employee she imagined were purposely undermining her authority.
It was quite incredible that during the May 2010 annual meeting conducted in South Pasadena, notorious Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, stood before attendees and thanked Ms.Walker for her efforts which were turning business around. She also thanked Joseph Garcia because according to Mrs. Harris-Brooks, he was single-handedly correcting the issues which had been afflicting employee morale and ending by stating that in her opinion, the credit union had "the right management team in place." The ignorant Board Chair was wrong.
Over the next several months, numerous employee were laid-off, allegedly because the credit union could not afford to keep them employed but the indiscreet and pompous COO, confided to Mrs. Boutte and Mr. Garcia that she "knew" that the employees were all bloggers, friends of the bloggers and confederates of the blogger.
By August 2010, the Board of Directors started growing concerned that nothing Ms. Walker had introduced was reaping profits promised by the COO. Ms. Walker had easily convinced the ignorant Directors that if allowed to, she could induce growth and the financial turmoil induced by President Wiggington. Unbeknownst to Ms. Walker, her credibility before the Board was about to sustain a major crack that would eventually lead to her termination.
In August, AVP, Rodger Smock, who is also the director the Human Resources, called the Valencia Branch Manager and asked her if she and Beatrice Walker had argued. The Branch Manager said they hadn't. He replied, "Well, she hates you." We find it incredulous that the self-described "peacemaker" had no hesitation making a comment that could provoke further discord between the Branch Manager and the COO.
Due to the increasingly hostility inflicted by Ms. Walker, the Branch Manager left the credit union on a medical leave of absence. During the days she remained on leave, Ms. Walker visited the Valencia Branch and instilled discord by slandering the Branch Manager to her staff. She also ordered that all of the Branch Manager's emails and voicemails be forwarded to her so that she could review each and every piece of communication. Ms. Walker also the subservient, Rodger Smock, to contact the Branch Manager and demand she return the keys to her office or the credit union would be forced to change the locks at the Valencia branch along with the security code to it's alarm system. It was so apparent that Ms. Walker had become obsessed with the Branch Manager to the point it disrupted the working environment.
Her obsession with the Valencia Branch Manager also provoked her to implement an attack on the people she imagined were the blogger, bloggers, and confederates of the blogger(s).
In September, the Valencia Branch Manager filed a verbal and later written complaint against Ms. Walker accusing her of:
When the President was informed of the Valencia Branch Manager's complaint, he and Roger Smock drove to the Valencia branch. During his visit, he asked that manager to provide him with a written statement describing her allegations against Ms. Walker. The self-indulgent President took the opportunity to gather written allegations that he would use remove Ms. Walker's authority over Human Resources. Because he knew Ms. Walker wanted to fire his "friends", Rodger Smock and Robert West, he used the situation to transfer human resources to Mr. West, the Training and Education Manager, despite the fact Mr. West had absolutely no experience in anything related to human resources.
In October, the Branch Manager submitted her letter of resignation, all to the chagrin of Ms. Walker. Ms. Walker with the help of Human Resources "clerk", Esmeralda Sandoval, and unofficial Human Resources Director, Robert West, increased her stranglehold on the Branch Manager even though the Branch Manager had submitted her notice to resign.
In October, her inner-circle suffered a blow when Director of Project Management, Yvonne Boutte, and Loan Manager, Joseph Garcia stopped speaking to one another. Mrs. Boutte would begin telling employees that "Joseph isn't what he appears to be."
In November 2010, Ms. Walker's inner-circle further crumbled when her relationship with Ms. Boutte grew strained and by the end of the month, the women were no longer speaking to one another. In the weeks which followed, Mrs. Boutte would disparage Ms. Walker's abilities and character to her staff.
In December 2010, Ms. Walker's relationship with her last remaining confidant, Joseph Garcia end, bringing an end to her aspirations to one day become President of the waning credit union.
By January 2011, Ms. Walker leveraged her deteriorating authority to promote South Pasadena Branch Manager, Gema Pleitez, to the post of AVP over the Riverside Branch and the Call Center. What few people knew was that in January 2010, she promised Joseph Garcia, that she would in time, promote him to the post of AVP and also increase his salary. Not only did she rescind on her promise to Mr. Garcia but she stripped him of his authority over the Call center.
Having grown exasperated by Ms. Walker's business failures and alleged homosexual tendencies, the Board informed her that from hereon she must present her plans for new products and services and any planned changes to either the President or AVP, Rodger Smock. Their mandate revealed Ms. Walker had lost her luster and was apparently, no longer trusted.
Mrs. Walker reacted by complaining to South Pasadena staff that the Board Directors were ignorant and in her words, "uneducated' and that none of them possessed the ability to comprehend the credit union's financial statements and knew nothing about strategical planning. She was actually correct, but this was clearly yet another case of the "kettle calling the pot black." Ms. Walker's criticisms would reach the ears of the President who in turn, would report all he heard to the Board.
Ms. Walker also was unaware that in April 2011, the Board placed an ad in local newspapers and the Nevada/California Credit Union League's website seeking a Director of Lending.
In July was informed she was being terminated. She was so distrusted that she was not allowed to remove anything from her office except her purse. Her personal things were later packed by AVP, Gema Pleitez, and shipped to Ms. Walker' home.
All we can say is good-bye to a truly awful person and officer who failed at everything she endeavored to do with exception of creating discord.
In August, Ms. Walker transferred all authority over Human Resources to herself. The reason for removing AVP Mr. Smock's authority over the department was two-fold. The first was that she had targeted the aged AVP for forthcoming termination. The second was, she wanted access to employee records and specifically, to those files of employees who had leveled complaints against her.
- Creating a hostile working environment
- Alienating the branch manager from her staff and peers
- Harassment
- Same-sex sexual harassment; and
- Stalking
In December 2010, Ms. Walker's relationship with her last remaining confidant, Joseph Garcia end, bringing an end to her aspirations to one day become President of the waning credit union.
BIG CHANGES
In August, just a few weeks following Beatrice Walker's termination., President Wiggington and AVP, Rodger Smock, announced yet another internal organizational restructuring intended to promote efficiency. Isn't this his 50th reorganization of the credit union's internal operation since Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. was named President on January 1, 2007? The changes they outlined will include
Branch closures as a means to survival is indicative that Priority One is wallowing in trouble. Closures also denote the level of the President's incompetence as a strategist. In 2009, the always obtuse President thought it prudent that in the midst of financial losses, the solution for his bungling business decisions was to hire a COO who was paid more than $100,000 per year. Not only did almost everything she implemented under guise of a solution to Priority One's woes fail, she proved to be as much of an instigator of trouble as is Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. Just like his failed $600,000 phone system, the President wasted more than $200,000 on paying a COO who not only failed to fulfill her responsibilities by who like President Wiggington, immersed the credit union in scandals.
The closure of the Riverside branch brings an end to the credit union's physical presence in all of Riverside County. The President evidently didn't posses the cranial capacity to develop new business in the more than 7000 square mile region nor did possess an inkling of the knowledge needed to build and maintain relations with employees of the U.S. Postal Service living and working in Riverside County.
During the months of June, July and August, Priority One reported profit created by the closure of branches which undercuts service and availability to members. However, the credit union's Monthly Income Statements confirm that consumer loan funding is lagging, the development of new membership is slowing down, and delinquencies continue to grow.

LEGAL QUICKSAND
As we've warned month after month since January 2009, President Wiggington would prove destructive to the credit union unless his misappropriation of authority were reined in. As it turned out, we were correct.
Priority One is now in the midst of staving-off two lawsuits filed by former employees and each leveling a barrage of accusations alleging violations credit union policies and state and federal laws. Irrelevant of whether the trials go to court and whether or not the plaintiffs prevail. the credit union will now be known as a corrupt and mismanaged organization. The behaviors and acts perpetrated by the President and his executive staff and the efforts by the Board to hide illegal acts, will probably now be brought into public light.
Recently, while attending an industry event, we listened while attendees discussed the information reported on this blog while at least two vendors shared their experiences about President Wiggington who is apparently considered highly unbecoming as an executive. There were also conversations about the credit union's abhorrent service including references to long wait periods when trying to reach Priority One's not-so-state-of-the art call center.
So how much will Priority One spend on litigation in the upcoming year? One thing is for sure, long gone are the days when $20,000 to $22,000 were the annual amount spent on legal-related matters.
President Wiggington just announced he will not be seeking a replacement for Beatrice Walker though within two-weeks following her untimely departure, the Board of Directors hired a new Director of Lending. The decision to hire a Director of Lending is more than a little peculiar since the credit union has a highly knowledgeable, albeit socially grating, loan specialist in Patti Loiacano. Though Ms. Loiacano spent years working in the Real Estate and Consumer Loan Departments, as a Loan Officer, Loan Supervisor, Assistant to the Director of Lending, Lending Director and AVP of Lending, nowadays she occupies the role of AVP of Compliance, a role forced upon her by Beatrice Walker. Mrs. Loiacano is yet another wonderful example of how Charles R. Wiggington is incapable of developing the resources the credit union has in its possession and will instead, continue to use credit union funds to hire officers who are not needed.

On Sat, Sept 10th they want all loan people to come to work and take a class with Alex from collectons, so she can teach us about DMV. Why? She’s the DMV speicilaist why should we know her job? Rodger has already said they're not going to pay us overtime for working that Saturday. I contacted the labor board and that's illegal. You can't make non-exempt employees work more than 40 hours and not pay them overtime. I am goingt to contact the labor board if they break the law on this.
And who ever wrote they are going to outsource collections is right. The company figured out the insurance and other costs make having an in-house collections department too expensive.You would think Charles figured that out before he got rid of Mike Lee and brought Yvonne Boutte in. Plus Yvonne who thinks she knows so much about everything, hasn’t done a wonderful job in collections. She might stick her nose in everyone’s business but she should be focusing on only collections.
So much for all her experience. She's another Bea Walker except a different color.
Georgina is only working the teller line to help out. Ernesto quit after being suspended for being rude to a member. They should of suspended the South Pasadena member services staff too. Plus, there’s no work in the loan department. Where are the loans? Joseph doesn’t have what it takes to bring business but he sure will kiss anyone’s ass just to keep his job. He’s got a title with no qualifications. Before Bea left he was talking bad about her because she didn’t get him the promotions or raises she promised plus she promoted Gema which pissed Joseph off. After Wiggington took him from Bea he started saying Wiggington is so smart and knows about financials. Really, because three branches down, no business, and a lot of collections say Joseph is wrong.
Joseph was also saying for a long time that he respected Syvlia Perez and that P1 should have more employee like her until he and her went to an event where he saw her get pushy with people trying to force them to join the credit union and sign up for loans. The organizers even had to tell her to back-off. Now Joseph thinks she's not so wonderful. Really? It took that one thing to show you the woman is horrible? Joseph is another idiot. Sylvia thinks pushing and badgering people to join the credit union is the key to success.
Charles says he’s got cancer in his “balls”. Guess he doesn’t know the correct word is “prostate.” He looks awful though stupid over-the-hill Rodger Smock says “Oh no he looks great.” Really, because Wiggington looks as bad as Rodger.
We’ve lost so many members in Riverside and the employeees in Riverside are not pushing Shared Branching. Who can blame them.
We’ve lost so many employees from the postal service because they’re getting laid off and they know Priority One doesn’t do anything to make anyone’s financial lives better.
People come into South Pasadena and they have to wait a long time to see a teller. If a member is in collections, our telleers announce in a loud voice, “You’re in collections” letting all the members know the member’s personal business.
And they hired Cynthia Garvin who worked at a credit union that ended last year in the negative plus what experience does she have with postal employees? The problem with Priority One is they hire people who don’t fit into what Priority One needs.
If this person comes from a credit union that ended 2010 in the negative, why would Wigg hire her? Didn’t you learn your lesson from hiring Bea? Then again the Board didn't learn anything from making Wiggington president or keeping policy breaker, Smock.
Today Wigg is sending Yvonne out to visit branches. I thought she was collections. Should she be in the office trying to get them down? And he's been going on and on about how she's so great at everything she does. No she's not unless he's talking about how great she is at sticking her nose in everything. And I don't get why they hired a lending manager when they have Patti Loiacano who was a really good lending manager. And they can't use the excuse that she does compliance because they had Theresa who was great at compliance but they got rid of her when Bea forgot to take her lithium and started imagining that Theresa and some invisible group of ninjas were out to get her.
Sylvia tries so hard to get the business but doesn't know how. She's like putting a big ox in a glass shop she just stomps on everything. She was complaining that they have her over worked and that the main office has given her so much work plus she has to go out and she can't sleep. I thought Wigg was her friend? I have a suggestion for Sylvia- quit.
I saw the report and we're not getting enough members in and I can't see where Wigg is going to cut next.

Everyone talks about Riverside Branch closing...but "the merger with Inland Counties Postal Credit Union" increased POCU's field of membership to INCLUDE ALL POSTAL WORKERS of RIVERSIDE AND SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES. The postal workers of both counties now have NO where to go to conduct their business except 7-11's, Service Centers or a long drive to the So. Pasadena branch. which is most inconvenient. Service Centers have $$ limits on withdrawals, put long holds on the deposits of checks, have fees for a corporate check and lack the friendly atmosphere of being known by staff.

That is the truth! The merger was a good move. It was a smart move. But Wiggington didn't know what to do with Riverside County. That shouldn't be a surprise because he doesn't know what to do in the San Fernando or Santa Clarita Valleys either. The merger increased P1's asset size and it increased the size of the membership, but he didn't put any effort to reach out to postal employees working and living in Riverside. Plus because of bad planning and not providing the staff at Redlands and Riverside the tools they needed to get business, Wiggington lost the territory and stripped those members of a chance to have their own financial institution. Clearly P1 is not a financial fitness center and clearly they are not there to help anyone win with money. No how, no way.
I just read Cindy's bio.If she was in marketing, she doesn’t seem to know much about writing. She wrote, “I was the project leader TO PUT together the Business Services program. I underwite the business loan applications and write the Business Loan policies for our organizations.”
I don’t want to take too much time dissecting what she wrote, but its full of mistakes. If she was a competent Marketing Manager, she should have at least had a professional review or write her bio.
P1 just got the go ahead to open the new branch in Santa Clarita. Its going to probably open next month and their only going to pay $1 a year for the space which is owned by the post office. Sylvia is of course panicked because she says she got so much to do to set the office up. Its a small office and doesn't require all the setting up she says it does. I wish she'd take a chill pill and relax.
Sylvia always makes a big deal about everything she does. Its like the world will stop if she doesn't stick her nose in it. She's frantic and makes everyone miserable and then complains about people, the main office, her husband, her daughter, everyone. She wants attention and she takes credit for everything everyone else does. Thats what she used to do with George. He created the spreadsheets and the reports but she always told Wiggington and Smock that she created them. The woman is a liar and nervous wreck. Someone out to shoot her with a tranqualizer, tag her and then put her back in the wild. Praise the Lord I don't have to work with her anymore.

I don't see how they're going to make it another year. Loans are down they were able to send Patti to Los Angeles and sometimes, they put Georgina on the teller line. The requirements are stricter so its not so easy for members to qualify for a loan plus they stopped funding real estate for a long time because they didn't have the money to fund RE loans.
So P1 is hoping to shoot down one lawsuit by accusing Nisely of everything they do? LOL.
This are so unfair at the credit union. Cecibel who is lazy and slow, got 90 hours in OT! Thats outrageous when the rest of us are not allowed to put in OT and Jen even took Diane's OT away which is illegal. Jennifer Kelly lies and says accounting is so busy but its not that accounting is busy, its that she and Cecibel are working the system. And that OT is being approved by Saeid and Wigg. They need to fire everyone from Wigg to Jennifer K and get the right accounting team in place.
They're losing so many postal people. A lot of them don't know that they can keep their cu accounts if they get laid off by the postal service or that they can use share branching but that's Wiggs job to keep them informed. A lot of others just hate what he's done to P1 and there is a lot of people out there who think P1 is out of business. Again all Wiggs fault. He erased P1s presence and forgot that promoting the cu name is important.
Santa Clarita will reopen doors? I don’t quite understand who will run that branch? Who is working in Santa Clarita branch anyways? Amber is gone Dana is at Burbank oh I got it the two bitches the ones that will sell their own mother if needs be that will be Judith and or Adriana maybe. Dana maybe you get the manager position you were promised this time. I think Wig should hire ex-postal employee CLERK BEA WALKER for part time teller and par time BD to grow the branch once again! She will do better job than George and Darlene so she said. STUPID B@#@S!!!
I don't get it either. The new branch is a small operation located outside downtown Valencia so I don't see members rushing to get into their cars and drive up the 5 frwy to the 126 just to go deposit or take out money. I know Judith Barajas is at the distribution center with Amber managing the place except once a week when they send her to Burbank (?????). And if Judith and Amber are going to be assigned there, why are they going to need Sylvia who says she has to be at the new branch to make sure "things run smoothly." Guess idiot Perez hasn't noticed P1 is shrinking. Bea Walker graduated from the University at La Verne and went to work for the US Postal FCU but she never learned to relate to postal employees and she hated it there because in her mind, she thought she was too educated for postal employees. She went on to Honda where she screwed up and that temp employee under her supervision made off with thousands of dollars. She went to work at AIRCO but while she was there, they suffered a huge loss and had to file a claim with CUNA and get a bond. She worked for Universal City Studios CU but got fired because the President wasn't too keen about her tactics. She came to P1 but never tried to get close to postal employees or reward them for their loyalty. She and Wiggington have one big thing in common, they both wanted to turn P1into a bank but they went for bank-rupt instead. Now homegirl doesn't have a job and she sent a text to Yvonne saying "Its a tough time right now for executives." Then she shouldn't have a problem getting a job because there's nothing executive about her. Plus its a tough time for all the people she screwed over and even the ones that went on and got better jobs had to deal with what she did to them. And notice how after bragging that she could go out and get more business than all the business development team that she never put her money where her big mouth is? I used to work at the credit union. I had the honor of working with Mr. Harris but after he retired I had the unpleasurable experience with working for Charles Wiggington, who is worse than anything I've ever read on this blog. The man is classless, crass and an embarrassment. In fact, one of my co-workers, a long-time employee quit after she finally said she couldn't stand how embarrassing it was to work for him.
However, this is not about Wiggington but about the totally displeasurable time I had working for Bea Walker and Rodger Smock. Rodger is really one of the laziest most ineffective people I have ever met. He used to put up a facade like he was everybody's friend but through the years, I saw him backstab so many employees and I saw how willing he was to help Wiggington carryout plots against what were a lot of good employees. Bea Walker arrived at the credit union with major attitude. I think she might have thought her MBA made her somehow superior to everyone else, but in her 2 years at the credit union she more than proved she wasn't superior to anyone. She used to tell Rodger that certain employees weren't working and without ever investigating what she said, he went ahead and accused employees that "Bea said" they weren't working and he even said more than once, "Bea wonders what we're paying you for." Actually, that's the same quesion a lot of us have asked about Wiggington, Smock, West, Esmeralda and of course, Bea Walker. The womans was treacherous, I mean is treacherous and a major hypocrite. She violated policies all the time because as she said, she could. I remembered how she used to submit her reimbursments and cut-off the name of the business where she supposedly bought work-related things. I remember when she tried to force Tsui into charging the credit union for that $5000 laptop. She refused to turn in the receipts and she completed violated the procedure for ordering equipment and Wiggington, Smock and Diedra let her do it. After they carpeted the entire office, do you know she had the workman deliver the left-over rolls (and they're were a lot) to her house in Santa Clarita? She charged the company for having the carpet delivered and installed at her home and again, Wiggington, Smock and Diedra all knew what she did.
Bea got carpeting and Wigg got a car. These are people you really want to work for. LOL.
What I'd like to read is anything from the board that explains why they kept Wiggington and why they kept Bea as long as they did. I'd also like to know why they let Bea spend and spend when the credit union was losing so much money during the same period when she was remodeling. The board should also provde proof of what they do besides getting paid to attend meetings which I thought was illegal since they're volunteers. And finally why is outside of the period comment from someone who tells everyone to grow up or claims they have been a postal worker for 25 years, don't any of the credit union's defenders ever say why the credit union is doing a good job or where we can all see documents they are doing a good job. Also, I haven't read anyone write that they feel sorry for Wiggington being sick or Bea being missed. It all says more about Wigg and his managers than anything his blog says.

I know Charles didn't let her clean out her office because they had Gema do that three days after Bea got fired, but where is the famous laptop? I remember when I worked there they asked me to help move a table out of Wigg's office. Wigg said he was waiting for an important calls. The table was heavy and big, fat Smock walked right behind me as a I dragged that thing out of the office all the way to the loan department. I later found out that fat boy Aaron had said he didn't do that kind of work because he was an AVP and Wigg didn't want to do it because he was president. Rodger couldn't do it because as big and overweight as he is, the man is weak. Some of the "men" at Priority 1 don't like to work, they're lazy and god forbid they get their hands dirty. Saeid is the exact same way and so is West. Like Schwartnaegger would probably say, these are "sissy men." I've never met a big, lazier, more stupid group of men at any company I ever worked at. I remember Dorothy telling us about how her husband was Rodger's gardner and how Rodger would ask him to move the sprinklers just because they didn't look pretty. That's the problem, these "men" focus on everything but business. The way they act you think they were pretty.
I agree with what you wrote. IF West has all that experience then why is P1 in so much trouble. You also think as a supposed Christian he would have warned Wigg about his behavior and dishonesty instead of "yoking" himself to the guy that butters his bread. Supposedly Wigg has a BA and so does Rodger and Bea had an MBA but even with those degrees they made a mess of P1. They will tell you what they can do and that includes West, but its all talk.
Why would Cynthia Garvin go to Priority when the credit union has one of the worst reputations in the industry. A lot of people don't even know they're still in business and you never see them at events. Its been a long time since Ive seen anyon from there at the LA Chapter meetings.

When that detective came down, he and Esmeralda gave the guy information about an employee none of them worked with. When he overlooked the call center, he mistreated one female employee and treated like she was dirt. If he's afraid too bad. He's gotten a fat salary and lots and lots of titles he didn't deserve plus he never took the time to try and learn the job he was given. Anyway, technically he's one of Bea's people and you know how Wigg feels about people that were loyal to others. Who they should get rid of is Yvonne "Stick My Nose in Everyone Business" Bouttee. The woman makes me gag.

Its not gossiping. He complained about Bea before he got fired. He was unhappy about them hiring a Lending Director and then he made calls to ex-employees seeing if they had job openings at their companies. He was supposed to come back on 8/28/11 but asked for an extension. Don't accuse people of gossiping unless you have your own facts straight. And yes, at miserable, horrible P1 run by wicked Wiggington, the trend is to quit, go out on leave (Theresa Haddad is a good example) or get fired. The place is miserable enough to drive people out and drive them batty. And Joseph "seemed nice" but isn't. Wigg isn't enjoying life now days. You see him walking around but not as much as he used to and you can tell he's not comfortable but when he talks he still lies and you'd have to be sicker than him to trust anything that comes out of his mouth. Every manager's rold is so messed up. Sylvia is an AVP doing business development (supposedly). Lynnette is an AVP who sits on her ass all day long and doesn't leave her branch so she's not doing BD work. Yvonne is supposed to overlook collections but she's got her nose in EVERYTHING. Patti is supposed to be compliance but she has Suzanne in card services doing research for her. Why, doesn't Patti have more then enough time in compliance? Same for Yvonne, Suzanne is her secretary because she's always doing Yvonne's "special" projects. Saeid is CFO but he says he's too busy to take care of the "the little things" plus he bad mouths employees. Recently he was talking about how stupid Jennifer Preciado is. Obviously, he hasn't checked up on Cecibel or Jennifer Kelly who are miling the cu for OT. Rodger oversees HR but all he does now days is cut coupons and pass them out. Is that the job of a Senior VP? Robert West is HR but he says he isn't and we're still waiting what new thing he is going to do under his new title. Esmeralda has hard working little Jen doing payroll, so what does big Esmeralda really do besides act like a chola? Management is a frickin mess thanks to Wigg who isn't a CEO or President and who has NEVER done anything good or positive for the CU.
Problem with Wigg and ALL his managers is there's no follow through probably because they're lazy and prefer talking about what they're going to do vs what they will actually do. When I worked there, Wigg talking about how he was going to get employees involved in creating programs, developing products, and getting ideas to improve business. He never did. He talked over and over about putting in a retention program and that never happened. He said he was going to setup a suggestion box in the employee lunch room so that employees could submit their ideas anonymously and he didn't do that either. He said he was going to expand the business through mergers and more branches and we all see what he's really done, shrunk the business. Rodger talked about how he would improve HR and help get better benefits for employees. Not only didn't he get employees better benefits, they lost benefits and they haven't had raises in years. And you're right, Lynnette doesn't go out and look for business and Sylvia works as a BD rept instead of an AVP. Both women have been HORRIBLE to employees and they both should be demoted or fired or retired.
Its nice to see that things haven't changed under Wigg. Same shit, different day. A friend who still works there said he looks horrible and is in constant pain. Still talks a lot but without a lot of the joking around. He was a horrible president before he got sick and I wonder, how he's able to do anything good for the credit union now that he is ill. I have read the documents printed on this blog and read the incidents but what I have found so amazing is no one, not even one board member, has ever stepped up and put up evidence to disprove anything plus its obvious by the absence of comments, that no one feels sorry for Wiggington being sick. Its a great example of how the way you treat others is going to eventually show up in how people feel about you. By the absence of comments, no one seems to miss Bea and I suspect if Rodger fell off the planet, you wouldn't see one tear shed. Too bad and quite a testament.

No, Wiggelnuts ordered that the reports be locked behind locked glass cabinets or placed in frames on the walls where they're difficult to read. Stupid is doing things that make it look like P1 is complying California state law which says the reports have to be out in the open where members can see it but he's making sure members can't get a copy. He also ordered all branch managers to call him of anyone comes or calls a branchy and asks for a copy even though by law the branch is supposed to take a copy and give it to a member who requests a copy. The law doesn't give him the right to interfere and make branches call him for permission. He is losing weight and is on that special low sodium diet and wasting away, but Wigglenuts will always break the law. If you can get away taking a car and sexual harasisng an employee you sure can try to keep members from looking ath the financials.

The overall concensus is Priority 1is surviving because they are cutting back expenses. Business is low, there is no way they can get that badly needed profit. Lots and I mean LOTS of members are so fed up with being charged $5 to talk to a person on the phone and if you look at the schedule of fees, Wigg and the board left the language open enough they could if they want charge you $5 if you come into a branch just like B of A.
And I've talking to a lot of EX-EMPLOYEES who quit because they couldn't stand working for Wigg or who know the CU was doing illegal things or who got abused and then fired and not one, not a single one feels sorry for what Wigg is going through. No one wishes he got sick, no one is happy he is sick, but no one cares. These are not evil people, they are people who saw or got abused by this monster and his servants, Rodger and Esmeralda, and they just lost compassion for him. As Bea proved, abuse people and don't expect them to be there for you.

Esmeralda doesn't like him and for a long time before she got promoted, used to say she couldn't stand him. He will never be missed by anyone who is honest who hates abuse. Like that baby he said should have been kept crying in that locked car, Wigg is in a locked car crying but no one is going to come to his rescue either.

After Joseph was taken by Wigg everything became all about serving Wigg but Wigg is mean and vindictive and he didn't forget what Joseph had said about him plus Wigg like everyone knows, Joseph is not loan manager material. I bet Wigg did to Joseph what he did to Aaron. He gave him time to leave the CU for a while and go look for another job. Joseph uses his PTO and doesn't get fired. Plus you don't need a Loan Manager and a Director of Loans. Too bad, because Joseph was an okay branch manager but they never should have made him a loan manager or credit manager or put him over the call center because he never had the experience or skill to do those jobs and Bea and Wigg knew it.
So if that's true, what happens if Joseph can't find another job? Like Bea says, its a tough time for executives even though Joseph is only an executive in title. I doubt Wigg is going to want to keep a loan mgr and director of lending working at the same time.
Who should have been fired back in 2007 after that ballot incident was Wiggington but he's still there. Joseph is useless but no more so than Wigg, Smock, or West.
Smock, West and Wigg, the 3 stooges all the way. In 2009, I swore this cu was going to close its doors. 2010, didn't think they'd made it, but they've kept their capital high enough to let the DFI keep their doors open, though not to be too hard on the DFI, but shouldn't they be looking at the whole picture and not just capital and you would think that ethics would be an issue they'd care about investigating. Insiders admit P1 is mismanaged and Wigg is a joke. The auditors know their reporting is bad but not bad enough to prove any breaking of law. Even with state cut-backs, maybe the DFI needs to take a an extra week or two to dig deeper. I spoke to friend who works there who admits they've gotten written complaints but they are not equipped financially to spend a lot of time on P1 when they're are a lot of other CU's doing as bad or worse and corruption... well, its not just at P1 but this blog has really given everyone a window into how at least 1 CU under one moronic President, has chosen to do business. And in case anyone thinks Wigg is running free and easy, he's not. His health is the result of worry, anger, frustration and embarrassment that he's been forced out into the light.
I was walking through the loan department and members service to the back office and the place looks so depressing. Where's the business? We have 1 teller and the call center is awful. So many members are complaining abouth the $5 fee we charge when we do something for them over the phone and I heard some branches are writing off the fee. Shouldn't all branches be writing off the fees. Why did Wiggingon and Bea charge a fee to all members. Why should old people on fixed incomes have to pay it? Why should employees of the USPS have to pay it? They could have done something better but its always about quick easy money for the worst president I've ever worked for.
It depressing. So many members complain about it and a lot have closed their accounts because their fed up with what P1 has become. Its all Wigg and Cindy isn't going to be able to fix his mess either. He has Rodger and West who always tell him what a great job he's doing. Guess they don't look at the numbers or complains.

Obviously, stupid Diedra and her gang of clowns didn't do their homework and verify what he accomplished when he was in the banking industry. Sylvia been complaining about having to do BD, whatever Wigg throw at her gaving to drive to Santa Clarita to get the new branch ready. The new branch is going to be a 2 man operation so what exactly is she doing when she goes there? It doesn't require an AVP. She's just doing what she loves to do, talk about herself and let everyone know how much she think she's doing. Dana, Judith or Adrianna could get the place ready with Sylvia. She could ask Wig to send Virginia even though the woman has a personality that could scare ghosts. Smock and Wig aren't doing anything so they should go. Wigg is such an idiot. When he hired Yvonne Boutte, he used to call her into his office for hours and she would ALWAYS come out complaining that she had work to do and he was wasting her time telling him about his family, his house, his cars, he enemies.... When he was interviewing candidates for the Director of Lending post he kept some of them in his office for hours talking about things that had nothing to do with the job. I remember how he once spent an hour and twenty minutes tellins us about his rich aunt Jenny and how she went to visit her husband at the hospital and accidentally took his clothes home and left her husband with no clothes when it was time to check out. Who care!!! At least he no longer talks about that dump he lives in or his expensive BMWs which are not expensive and there old and beat up like him. Nice to see that even though he sick, his mouth isn't sick and working just like it always has... non-stop.
Wigg probably hired Garvin to clean up the mess he, Bea, and Joseph made out of loans and the mess he made out of marketing. Problem is the place is such a big mess that one person can't fix it. And I don't get why if she has 28 years of service she gets paid less than $80,000 a year. She should be making over $100,000 if she's that good. Anyway, she's there for the same reason he created AVPs and why he hired Bea, so that he has people to blame for his fuck ups. That's just who Wigg will always be all the way to the end.
Wigg will probably guess who I am but in 4 years he did more to make an impression then did any other president since Priority opened in 1926. Mind you, I didn't say good impression because the man is crass, vulgar, displicable and an embarrassment. I had the displeasure of having to attend several management meetings in 2007thru 2009. It was not only him who proved an embarrassment but so did most of his management representatives. Right after he appointed Liz Campos and Sylvia Perez to be his first 2 AVPs, the two women decided to call a meeting at the main office with all branch managers and assistant branch managers present. They started the meeting without creating a proerp agenda. They asked for suggestion after suggestion and neither of them knew what they were talking about. I left the meeting thinking he appointed to file clerks to AVP, smart move. In 2009, he called a meeting to discuss how we were going to penetrate Riverside County. At least, we all thought it was supposed to be a brainstorming session. Within the first 6 minutes he started talking about his aunt Jenny and her husband. He talked about his sister who he said has a bad attitude. He talked about how his son, Chuckie, was giving him trouble and he talked about his wife and step daughters. He talked about his house and spent a lot of time talking about his BMWs. 90 minute later the meeting ended with most of drained from listening to him talk about stupid things no one but him, was interested in. He just isn't what you would ever wish on any company.
Miss Garvin is really nice and she appears to know a lot about lending and promoting loans. I think she's going to be good for P1though I think Wiggington kills everything that's good for the credit union and employees. I wouldn't want to be her. These days, Wiggington is still afraid of leaks so he keeps the doors to the executive offices closed. He says he doesn't want things getting out but really, he's the reason things get out and so is Smock and so was Bea. He looks terrible and even though he still talks a lot, he looks miserable.

Joseph called in sick a couple of days before the director of lending started working. He took PTO because he was supposedly sick but like people have said, he was supposed to be back on 8/26 but on 8/25 got an extension and was supposed to come back on 9/06. He's not on vacation. Right after Wigg took him away from Bea, he talked about how he didn't like her or the way she treated people but for a long time he helped her backstab people and he talked about Wiggington just like Bea and just like Yvonne used to. I used to see him walking around with Wiggington like he used to do with Bea, but I don't think Wiggington was complimenting him. No one knows better than Wiggington that Joseph was unqualifed to head the consumer loan department. Joseph never was able to do a single thing to get loans going. He has no talent for bringing in business just like Wigg, Smock, West, Sylvia and if you want to go way back, like Liz or Aaron. Wigg doesn't trust Joseph even when Joseph was kissing his ass. Wigg knows Joseph doesn't get results and Wigg knows that there aren't a lot of places where he can cut spending. Joseph should thank Bea for putting him in the position he's in. He was never qualified for any of the titles she gave him though he ate it all up and took the titles and raises knowing he couldn't cut it. He thought he could cover up his ignorance by kissing ass but you can't do that forever. I remember him visiting the Van Nuys and Burbank branches and putting up these really stupid first grade boards where he wanted managers to record their progress and put little stars when they reached a goal. When he was in Redlands, he used to process loan applications but he never knew anything about being a loan officer, qualifying members or eligibility. Joseph screwed himself over with the help of Bea, Wiggington and Smock.
Joseph is the kind a guy who you either like or hate but if you know him, you know he's another snake though not too smart. There's no way you could ever trust him because he lies, backstabs, and has a bad temper. If Wigg and Smock hooked up and had sons they would be Joseph and Bea. And you're right, Miss Garvin does seem to know the business. Hope Wigg doesn't get jealous and start riding her the way he rode everyone he was jealous of. He's like Smock another insecure queen.
When he got to South Pasadena, there were complaints from female employees about Joseph being touchy feely. He used to put his hands on women and kiss them and a lot of the women didn't care for it. Of course, Charles sexually harassed and didn't lose his job so go figure.

He used to have Bea until she kicked him in the balls (no pun intended).
Really can't see how Wigg can take all the drama he caused all these years. I was told that they offered Linda a settlement but she turned it down. He tried the same thing with Kim and that she turned him down to though she should have sued him. Bet he would have lost that case and would of ended up fired. Lets see if they try to settle again before they go to court.

His big plan is Santa Clarita will pull in the business because he only can see they are paying almost no rent for the place. He doesn't see that its far from downtown Valencia so its not convenient. He also doesn't see that he let the creidt union lose a lot of members when he and Bea closed Valencia. He said that it didn't matter because most of them just had savings accounts and savings accounts don't bring in business because you got to pay dividends. What Wiggington will never get is you got to reach out and get those only savings holders to get loans and other products. He thought losing them was okay because he was going to eventually open a new branch far far away.
Wigg doesn't believe he can do anything to make things better. He may be the worst president but he's not totally stupid. If he knew he could make changes that were good for the credit union he never would have created the avp's to bring in the business that he knew he couldn't bring in. He also never would have hired Bea who he thought would bring in business, carryout his character assassination of employees and do this work. He just didn't figure that she would ever see him for what he is- dumb in business. They knew each other for years and he thought she would be loyal to him but she was as loyal as he is to anyone. He knows Santa Clarita ain't going to cut it. On paper it looks good to have a branch that only costs $1 a year to lease but even old useless knows its not a good location and will never bring in the business Valencia used to bring in before helped run Suzanna off. He knows Rodger is ignorant but if got rid of Rodger he would have 1 less friend. That's why he keeps West whose as useful as a 2nd tail on a dog but like a dog, he'll be loyal to Wigg as long as Wigg keeps feeding him. He doesn't have Esmeralda because she's only loyal to herself. And he really doesn't have Saeid or Randy and he knows that Yvonne left his camp for about a year to go and serve Bea before the "girls" had their big breakup.
I haven't worked there since 2009 but its obvious things have got worse. Diedra should get full credit along with Saffold, Gathers, Hale, Thomas and the other losers on the board who can't understand a financial report but think they have what it takes to lead P1...... into the gutter. Is anyone going to subpeona Epic's records and get a copy of all the employee statements showing Wigg committed sexual harassment? That should be presented in court to show how Diedra and board squashed the investigation, kept a sexual harrasser employed, how they retaliated against the harrassed employee and how Priority One covered up a federal crime.

I heard they are trying to rush and get the depositions for both cases. Hopefully each ex-employee has a good LONG list of witnesses. I'm sure lost of people would like to step forward and testify against, Wiggington, Smock and even Bea who can be forced back with s subpeonea. It be interesting to see if they call her to explain why she did what did and if she still backs up P1.
There is enough witnesses to everything Wigg did. Ex-employees should be willing to step forward and speak up. Some ex employees are just happy they're out of P1 and don't want anything to do with the credit union, but they're forgetting that if they don't speak up then they let a lech like Wiggington, Smock, West and the others continue their abuses, though based on what we all see Wiggington doesn't look like a healthy man.

poor wig??? more like poor employees! wig f'd thing up for everybody while he continued to get his salary increased for all the wrong he did to employees and the cu. wig is the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. he doesn't know what he is doing and as for smock, west, yvonne and esmeralda, we are better off replacing them with people from a mental hospital. at least there will be an excuse as to why things are the way they are.
If you look at the new business reports you see that a lot of loans and new memberships are because of a few employees who bring in the business, like Martha and Hector.
If you look at business in Burbank, a lot of it seems to be shared branching transactions NOT new business. With all the time Sylvia spends running around the community like a chicken with no head you'd think she'd really be bringing in more business to justify her salary. The woman is talentless and doesn't get it that nagging the world is not going to get you what you want. She couldn't sell oranges off the freeway. I was speaking to a postal employee in North Hollywood who told me they don't like Sylvia. They say she's too pushy and she makes it obvious she's not interested in the members, just getting them to sign up for loans and getting their family and friends to joing the credit union.
The LA office does great walk-in business but it has NOTHING to do with Lynnette. The woman is lazzzzzzzyyyyy like Virginia Medford, her embarrassing FSR who I wouldn't hire to work at Church's Chicken. A lot of the business at the LA office is walk-ins. A lot of them are postal employees who are there to just cash their checks. They charge non-members a fee to charge checks which makes that branch a check cashing stop.
Van Nuys does okay despite Cecilia but thats because she has SOME good employees. Plus members who use that office are loyal.
South Pasadena is a dive. Postal employees complain the place is horrible, depressing and the employees rude. All that money spent by that idiot Bea Walker and the place is still awful.
Wiggington is at least consistent. He's lazy, useless, rude, and pure ghetto. Smock is a liar and biggest scofflaw at P1 and West is a leech, getting over by pandering to whoever will buy into his crap. He's definitely not what he pretends to be.

Does anyone remember when Wiggington ordered these flyers printed and posted at every branch talking about respect for each other and all the while he was backstabbing employees, dissing them, and planning who to fire? The the kind of environment he made. He turned P! from a really nice place to work to a hell hole. He hired Yvonne because he got bored with Mike Lee. Mike’s biggest problem is he became friends with Wiggington or so he thought, and it was Mike who helped get Danny Wafa’s car transferred to Wiggington. It was also Mike who made up those phoney auction papers to make it look like the car went to auction. What a lot of people don’t know and Mr. Harris never suspected that Wiggington used to get kick backs on some of the collections. In 2008, Mike got the boot from his friend and Wiggington replaced Mike with Yvonne who is as big a snake as Wiggington. Yvonne is “THE DEVIL.” She treats staff horrible but she expects them to behave nicely. Patti Loicano knows loans and she understands the operation including member service but her biggest problem has always been her ego. She doesn’t like to train staff and doesn’t want them to share what she knows because she’s insecure. She used to buddy it up with Aaron and even covered up for him when employees filed complaints against him for harassment and when he had George and Anwar forge member names on those Power of Attorney forms. In choosing her friends, Patti is an idiot and she eventually will get her ass kicked (again) by Yvonne.

And Yvonne been getting information from Ali about how bad Randy is. She’s been reporting to Wiggington and Diedra how little Randy knows and telling them he makes a lot of mistakes.
You can add Esmeralda who tells Rodger what employees are saying things about the credit union. Guess the “clerk” forgot that people are allowed to express their feelings and even complain. Its not like Wiggington has made Priority a nice place to work.
And Jennifer Kelly is a joke. She’s fooled a lot of people for years. Around management she acts like she agrees with everything they say and will do whatever they tell her but behind their backs she is another power hungry, abusive jerk and she lies, backstabs, and punishes good employees. She is mean to Dianne even though Dianne knows much more about accounting than Jen will ever know. Jen also covers up for Cecibel who is a lazy, backstabbing, horrible person who gets over-time when everyone is denied overtime. In fact, Jennifer broke state law when she backed out Diane’s overtime and didn’t pay her for hours she worked. Diane should have gone to the labor board, so in the end that all falls on her.

And English is a second language at Priority 1. Cecibel likes to speak Spanish when she should be speaking English. She spends lunches and breaks gossiping in Spanish with no regard as to how rude and inappropriate it is. She should go back to central America if she wants to make Spanish her first language. Same for Esmeralda the HR representative who likes to gossip in Spanish and chola- Spanish and who is not to fond of Whites though the last time I looked, fat old Smock was as White as a ghost.
Its really a horrible place with no professionalism but then again that’s on Wiggington who brought ghetto into the workplace. Even trailer trash Bea who used to call P1 didn’t do anything to fix the problems because she just made it as trashy and trailer park as she is. And don’t think that it ends there. If you know Lynnette Fortson and listen to her speak, you’d be shocked. Talk about Jordan Downs. Pure Avalon Blvd.
I remember when Yvonne first got hired. Wiggington promised she was going to improve collections and bring in more revenue. Since she got hired, she’s been given title after title and work that has nothing to do with collections. Her focus isn’t collections. On a daily basis, you don’t see her working on collections but you do see her butting into everything else from member service to loans to accounting. She THOUGHT she was going to get the title of COO when her girlfriend Bea got fired but that hasn’t happened but don’t think she doesn’t want it and won’t try to get it. A lot of people say she’s nosey but smart. I don’t see the smart, I see cunning, sneaky, manipulator, back-stabbing, and self-serving. It’s the Yvonne show but she’s competing with the Wiggington show and for awhile she was competing with the Bea show before it got cancelled.
Seems like all the managers are supposedly good at something but that’s a big lie started by management. Wiggington is supposed to be an expert at reading financial reports but obviously he doesn’t know shit about getting new business. Mr West was supposed to be this great trainer but he’s turned out to be a manipulator who ingratiates himself to Wiggington so that he can keep his job. People used to think Rodger knew Human Resources but he’s broken policies plus no one knew until this blog, that he got fired from Superior Industries. Wiggington has said a lot of times that he wishes all employees were like Sylvia Perez, but the one woman is looney and one egg short of a dozen. Plus she’s a compulsive liar and self-serving and dumb as a turkey. Management likes to toot their own horn because they all know, no one is going to toot it for them.

They do all they work, she just sits there.

I use to work at P1 and Diana Mccgunnigial use to fight the IT people every morning to get into the building when she was not allowed to be there. She is like the woman standing outside of Mervyns saying open, open, open and if she does not get into the building by a certain time she wants to call the police then she wants her manager to pay her overtime for it. The woman is bi-polar and stupid. She was the one who was going around telling people that Manny had pictures on the computer. I invite anyone who doesn't believe it to come on down to the South Pasadena office and see just how miserable the place is. We're at 1631 Huntington Dr, South Pasadena, CA. Look at how many tellers help people and see their attitude. Look at the 1 or 2 member service reps or go to the loan departement (thought their a lot better than MS or tellers).
I closed my account. I got car loans a 2 personal loans through the years not because Priority has a lot of branches or because they're fancy but only because you got treated like family. I don't know what the president did that made the place so unhappy and why service went out the door but its not a place I will recommend again.

I think Garvom is just another Wigg puppet. Her new big plan to help bring in new business is to cross train everyone in real estate when we don't even fund a lot of real estate loans because supposedly we don't have the money to do so. She's even going to have Gema and Georgina train in real estate. Back in 2008 they had Georgina train in real estate and she couldn't cut it and she didn't like it. And Gema has always done member services so what do they think theyre going to teach her? She's never going to fund a real estate loan.
If today was any indciation about what Miss Garvin can do, then I do agree. That Webinar was so stupid and why talk to so many employees about real estate funding when most of us have never had any exposure to it? The only people who understand what was being said are the people that work with it.
