Incongruence

BRINGING A BIG

SWORD TO  A GUN FIGHT

This month's post, returns to the subject of Priority One Credit Union's legal entanglements. Currently, the credit union is involved in litigating four lawsuits. The first is the lawsuit filed
by it's insurance carrier, CUMIS Insurance Society, Inc. which accuses the credit union's former external auditor, Turner, Warren, Hwang, and Conrad ("TWHC"), of breach of contract when it performed several annual audits which violated established auditing standards. The breaches allegedly allowed several thefts totaling more than $1 million in cash to go undetected.

A second lawsuit was filed by TWHC against Priority One Credit Union and a third lawsuit- a counter-suit, was filed earlier this year by the credit union against its former external auditor, TWHC. .

A fourth lawsuit was against the credit union in late 2014, by its former contracted automobile broker, Lewis Seiden dba Auto Alliance ("Auto Alliance"). When we last reported upon the lawsuit filed by Auto Alliance, the credit union had filed a motion requesting dismissal of the Plaintiff's complaint on the basis that the auto broker's allegations lacked merit to justify it's suit. Unfortunately, for Priority One, the court did disagreed and the credit union will proceed to court to fend off allegations it breached its agreement with the broker. We will elaborate further about the latest action initiated by both the automobile broker and the credit union.

In the decades before January 1, 2007, the actual date when Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. was appointed President, the credit union was never sued by former employees or business associates. The current batch of lawsuits all stem from the decision by the President and Board of Directors to circumvent credit union policies and state and federal laws. It is these decisions which have forced Priority One to dig deep into its coffers, dredging up monies needed to pay for outrageously expensive litigation. From 2010 through 2013, Priority One paid in excess of $500,000 in legal fees. Employee lawsuits filed between 2010 through 2013 were eventually settled by the credit union to avoid costly and potentially embarrassing court trials. The amount currently being spent on litigation will probably surpass the $500,000 previously spent and brings into question the veracity of Priority One's Mission Statement which declares that the credit union is able "To help our member-owners and employees achieve financial fitness. We are committed to providing quality products and services that help you win with money"

Does anyone really believe that Priority One Credit Union can help member-owners and employees achieve financial fitness when its few profits are being spent on expensive litigation?

A CYCLE OF INEPTITUDE
Business Development Resuscitated

In our last post, we revealed that the President in yet another desperate move to acquisition new business, reinstated a former Business Development Representative ("BDR") who has been an employee of the credit union for over 40 years. The President's latest decision is another contradiction of his 2010 initiative which began by placing stringent restrictions on the business development team and decision in 2012, which completely dismantled the business development team until January 15, 2013, when he appointed, Joseph Garcia, to serve as sole BDR for the three-branch credit union.

Despite a well-documented record of failures committed by Mr. Garcia during the years of 2010-2012, the President deemed it prudent to appoint him in charge of the credit union's business development endeavors. The President's decision was also enthusiastically supported by Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, and Executive Vice President, Rodger Smock, both of who have continually enabled the President's history of horrendous busines decisions. As reported last month, it was not until July of this year that the not-so-astute President discovered Mr.Garcia was not visiting businesses whose names were referenced in each of his monthly production reports.

The first problem with the President's latest escapade is that it's logistically marred. The credit union's territory extends from the Riverside/San Diego County border and north to the Santa Clarita Valley. Its a large and impressive territory comprised of diverse demographics and despite its vast size, Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. has deemed it reasonable to assign a single business development representative to manage the entire territory. Does he really believe a single individual can, without assistance, manage the vast territory? Apparently, he does. The president may be oblivious to the fact that he has spent the last eight years neglecting the credit union's relationship to its members and in particular, its relationship with members who are employed by the United States Postal Service ("USPS").

If Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. has proven anything its that he is no skilled tactician and that his so-called business decisions are not based on information derived from surveys, focus group assessments, and careful studies of the credit union's marketplaces but rather nothing more than his chronic, unfounded whims.

A NON-PROFIT?

Apparently, both the President and Board have forgotten that as a non-profit, Priority One is required to satisfy certain public obligations which includes but is not limited to providing free services that contribute to the betterment of the communities served by the credit union. A search of their website and Facebook page fails to identify anything that the credit union has done to fulfill its social purpose. Evidently, the President who once aspired to turn Priority One into a bank has forgotten that following industry tenets:
  • Help people of modest means
  • Provide loans that are to be used for prudent purpose; and
  • Provide free financial education
So what positive social impact has Priority One has had upon the communities it serves?

MISREPRESENTATION?

It's only been a few weeks since Executive Vice President, Rodger Smock, accompanied now former Vice President of Operations, Yvonne Boutte, to her desk located in the Credit Resolutions Department and watched while she retrieved her purse and a few possessions before quietly leaving the main branch without bidding adieu to her staff in the Call Center, Member Services, and Teller Departments. It was a quiet departure for a woman who demanded respect and subservience and yet, found it necessary to abuse and disparage staff. A few days following her departure, Executive Vice President, Rodger Smock, disclosed that Mrs. Boutte was ill and might be absent for a few weeks. Of course, this proved to be another shame excuse to deter attention from the fact that she was being scrutinized. Almost immediately following her departure, the credit union that has historically been lax about updating its webpage, removed Mrs. Boutte's name, as shown below, from their online list containing executive names and titles.

Former Executive List

 Current Executive List

Its been a long while since we've conducted a search of Mrs. Boutte's name on the Internet, but we were curious to see if she might have moved quickly to amend any of her online biographies. Visiting her LinkedIn account, we discovered that she suffers from the same need exhibited by both President Wiggington and Vice President Smock, to exaggerate her work history.

Mrs. Boutte took some poetic liberties when creating her biography. Though she correctly states she was hired to "create an in-house collections team", she is less than forthright when she states she wrote procedures. Her procedures were never ratified by the Board of Directors subsequently reducing her so-called procedures to mere notes.

She also states her responsibilities included, "handling Card Services and the DMV function." We're completely at a loss to understand what she means by "handling." Mrs. Boutte did not perform Card Services Department procedures merely because she did not possess the ability to do so. The department which is actually a single desk., has an experienced Card Services Specialist. On a side note, in 2010, Mrs. Boutte ordered that the Card Services Specialist assist the collections department, a decision which is as absurd as anything concocted by President Wiggington, himself.

Mrs. Boutte also oversaw DMV procedures though she was in no way a DMV Specialist. Furthermore, in 2009, the credit union ceased to have a DMV desk after Mrs. Boutte convinced then COO, Beatice Walker, that the DMV Specialist should be laid-off.

Mrs. Boutte also attributes her purported successes to her "strong and effective leadership skills." The fact is, Mrs. Boutte was a polarizing presence at the credit union. She was known to be rude to employees and some members and like President Wiggington, she was a chronic violator of the credit union's policies. In 2012, she bullied a member who lodged a complaint with Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks and which accused the credit union of publishing information about her credit union automobile loan and disparaging statements about her person, on the Internet. The compliant was delegated to the President who then delegated it to Mrs. Boutte. Mrs. Boutte chose to be aggressive over prudent and impartial, provoking the member into filing a lawsuit which was later settled by the credit union. Evidently, Mrs. Boutte has a distorted view of what constitutes strong or effective leadership.

THE PLAN THAT COULDN'T FAIL

- Webpage Page as it appeared in 2010 -

In early 2010, then COO, Beatrice Walker, launched an aggressive campaign, promoting her expertise as a Chief Operations Officer. She promised the Board of Directors and its Board Chair, the easily pliable, Diedra Harris-Brooks, convincing them that she would reduce spending and create profitable new streams of income.

Hired on June 1, 2009, she spent much of her first three months of employment pandering to the Board and succeeding in bolling over Mrs. Harris-Brooks who literally granted Ms. Walker Carte' Blanche to implement whatever changes she deemed necessary to reverse the multitude of problems created by President Wiggington which had caused the credit union to lose its ability to generate the level of new business enjoyed prior to January 1, 2007, the date he began his appointment as President. .

One of the many changes she made by Ms. Walker was introducing Auto Alliance to the credit union. Though Priority One had a long-time and highly successful relationship with Mike Martinez the owner of Universal Leasing and Sales, Ms. Walker issued an order to the Loan Department staff, advising them to refer all members seeking to purchase an automobile to Auto Alliance.  Furthermore, President Wiggington distanced himself from Universal Auto Leasing and Sales, became aloof and unfriendly.

To aid success of Auto Alliance, Ms. Walker ordered placement of a desk in the Loan Department where a representative from Auto Alliance would sit and meet with members who were approved for an automobile loan. The plan might have worked had the consumer loan department staff not continued referring members to Universal Auto Sales. What's more, President Wiggington made no effort to ensure the staff was referring members to Auto Alliance.

By mid-2010, Ms. Walker's relationship with the Board had deteriorated to the point that she began publicly describing the Directors as "uneducated" and "ignorant." In July 2011, Ms. Walker was terminated and within a few weeks, Auto Alliance's representative vacated his desk.

"MAN IS NOT WHAT HE THINKS HE IS, HE IS WHAT HE HIDES"

- ANDRE' MALRAUX -

On June 24, 2015, Priority One's attorney, John C. Steele, filed a motion requesting the court's approval which would allow the credit union to join CUMIS Insurance Society, Inc.'s lawsuit, however and as usual, litigation has not been without incident.

Priority One's attorney had previously filed a motion requesting dismissal of the lawsuit filed by Lewis Seiden dba Auto Alliance but the court deemed the Plaintiff's allegations possessed sufficient grounds to proceed to trial. With the credit union's first course of action having failed, on September 26, 2015, their attorney filed a Stipulation and Protective Order- Confidential Designation Only. The order seeks an order by the court to prohibit the publication of any documents deemed and labeled "confidential". The defendant and plaintiff have apparently comet to an agreement that it is crucial to protect the confidentiality of certain documents that may contain sensitive information such as trade secrets and financial data which is not intended for viewing by the general public or competitors and which may be of a proprietary nature.

The filing of the motion is not unusual but it comes only a few weeks after we learned that President Wiggington expressed concern that documents presented during the upcoming trial could find their way to the Internet and adversely impact his very public reputation. Frankly, at this point, the President should have moved beyond being embarrassed. Since 2007, evidence was exposed that he sexually harassed a female employee and that while serving as Vice President of Operations, he ordered repossession of a BMW, his favorite car, and transferred ownership to himself without paying a cent for the vehicle. There are also the multitude of allegations documented in complaints filed by former employees and one former member, describing egregious violations of state and federal laws perpetrated by and under President Wiggington.

Though the attorney's for the Plaintiff and Defendant have signed the motion, we can't ignore the fact that the motion was filed just a few weeks after President Wiggington expressed concerns that documents presented in court could find their way to the Internet.

The lawsuit filed by Auto Alliance also names Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. a defendant. This, by the way, is the second time since 2013, that the President has been named a defendant. The first incident occurred in the lawsuit filed by the last Branch Manager of the now defunct Valencia office. At the time, the plaintiff accused Human Resources and President Wiggington of allowing her state and federal rights to be violated when they knowingly allowed her to be harassed, sexually harassed, retaliated against, and stalked by former COO, Beatrice Walker.

In 2013, the President spent an inordinate amount of time walking about the South Pasadena office, divulging confidential information about each of the lawsuits filed by former employees and boasting that three settlements entered into by the credit union were so insignificant in amount that they were inconsequential to the declining credit union. At the time, his breeches of confidentiality even prompted the credit union's attorney to issue a warning to Board Chair., Diedra Harris-Brooks, urging that the President desist from verbalizing information about cases that had been settled and about those which remained in litigation.

During litigation of the lawsuit filed by the Valencia Branch Manager, the credit union's attorney contacted the Plaintiff's attorney by telephone and informed her that if President Wiggington's name was not removed as a Defendant from the lawsuit, he would file a motion excusing the President from testifying because he was suffering from cancer and was undergoing arduous medical treatments. Evidently, the President has since made an almost full recovery immediately following removal of his name.

Apparently, in 2015 things have changed for President Wiggington.  It appears he will be unable to use his former illness as an excuse to escape from testifying. What's more, he's become extremely concerned about guarding the confidentiality of certain documents that will be presented during the trial. Though we understand that it is important to protect sensitive information from being viewed by the public, we can't ignore the fact that the President recently expressed concern about stopping the disclosure of certain information that could adversely impact his reputation and which could reveal things about his character and about his mode of administration. And though on some level we can empathize with the President's concerns, the fact is this is a ruthless man who has over the past 8 years violated policies and laws with no concern for the consequences this could have upon the credit union and its ability to conduct business. The President should be concerned by the upcoming trials and in particular, the lawsuit filed by Auto Alliance which names him a defendant. He will be unable to hide behind the Board of Directors and its Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, and though the motion to protect the publication of certain documents, the motion does not cover all documents that might be presented and produced during the trial.

Hiding information isn't new for President Wiggington. Here are two instances in which he has purposely withheld information from public viewing:
  • In 2010, he ordered that members not be provided copies of Priority One's Monthly Balance Sheet/Income Statements though state law stipulates that the reports must be provided to active members who request copies of these. His directive remains in effect today.
  • This year, he and Board Chair, Diedra Harris-Brooks, decided to stop publication of the credit union's annual report on Priority One's website.
The President has always hoped people would accept his verbalized assurances and disclosures about the credit union's financial standing, at face value. Unfortunately, his statements have continually been challenged by the credit union's own financial statements including its quarterly Financial Performance Reports filed with the National Credit Union Association.

Another fact is that anyone attending any of the trials the credit union is currently involved in, will have an opportunity to hear testimonies and observe the presentation of evidence that will finally reveal how Priority One chooses to do business. Though their is no arguing that President Wiggington is a man who chooses to orchestrate his activities in the darkest recesses of the credit union, far from prying eyes, a trial will provide transparency and provide a wonderful opportunity to bring into the light the President's methodologies.

President Wiggington may soon discover that the motion signed by the plaintiff and defendant will not serve to stop testimonies from being heard in court. Will Charles R. Wiggington, Sr. forge a story that exonerates him from all wrong doing and which serves to convince a jury that Priority One acted responsibly and wholly honestly in their dealings with Auto Alliance?

This is rich. The motion they filed is to keep confidential information from appearing on the Internet but more specifically on this blog. Wiggington must be scared. Makes you wonder what he's done that he knows is going to come up in court and that he knows could harm him. This isn't about the credit union it's all about him. He's ruined P1 but what he doesn't want is information about himself coming into the open. Realistically, confidential information is never available to the public so his fear is that someone on the opposing side might leak information to the public. Wonder what he's done that he doesn't want the public to know?

Poor Wiggles. After years of telling lies he's going to have to testify and swear that he promises to tell the truth. How scared he must be. Wiggles, remember, Rodger is not going to be there to hold your -------------- and that old bat, Diedra, won't be able to protect you if you perjure yourself. And I know it's going to make you sick, but try to tell the truth. Oh wait, who am I fooling. You're a liar. Good luck chump.

The information about Yvonne doesn't come as a surprise. This is a woman who was always yelling about how great and smart she is. She took ownership for ideas that other people suggested like second chance checking accounts. And its true, she was a bully and so ghetto. Good riddance.

Now its no surprise that Wiggles is trying to hide behind the law. I remember sitting in his office in 2013 when he bragged about how he got out of testifying because of his shrewd dishonest lawyer. I guess he's not bragging now. The motion that's published on the blog doesn't show its been approved by the court. If it gets approved Wiggington might thinks that'll take care of any embarrassing information from getting out. This man is such a coward. He's the same person who made up so many horrible stories about employees. He used credit union money to assassinate employee reputations and he had help from Rodger Smock and Diedra Harris-Brooks. I so hope he gets caught in his lies. I can't see how a guy that's so addicted to lying is going to sit down in court and tell the truth. It just not who he is.

Does anyone think its strange that this credit union is always involved in lawsuits? Since Wiggington was named Black president by the almost all Black board, it seems the credit union has been sued year after year after year. Mr Harris is a dignified Black man who never bragged and never provoked lawsuits. I'm in agreement, what is this clown going to say in court? If he's going to lie, he better make sure his lie is almost completely full-proof and if the fails, well this credit union is going to have to pay out a lot more than the usual $8,000 to $17,000 they usually pay out.

Yes its strange if Charles wasn't president and Diedra wasn't board chair.

I think people including members should make a big effort to attend the trial to hear how Wiggles does business. Diedra and Rodger will be there because they have to coddle him like he's a helpless baby.

Wiggles is such a sissy. He spent years trying a to ruin employees but now wants court docs from going public. Why hide?

Anonymous said...

That's a big effort to make sure confidence is kept. I think you're right, this is more than just trying to protect trade information, its to hide things that will show Wiggington is the industry's biggest embarrassment.

After having put up with this loser for years, I'm so glad he's going to court. I hope I can be there to hear this liar tell his stupid stories about how he would never screw over Auto Alliance and how they must have misunderstood the agreement they signed.

Mahatma Kane Jeeves said...

I would not call Wiggy a sissy or label him a coward.

After all, he has the courage to:

1 Sexually harass Patrice at Fat Burger (as long as his Uncle has his back)
2. Sexually harass employees by sopping them up with gravy
3. Steal a member's BMW for personal gain
4. Violate Privacy laws by revealing member's social security numbers
5. Fire staff for no good reason
6. Scratch his balls right in front of staff like a serial masturbator
7. Brag about his sexual conquests as if he were a 10th grader

@ Mahatma Kane Jeeves:

I never thought of it like that, but you're right. Wiggles is actually courageous. All his "crimes" have been done out in the open.

@Mahatma Kane Jeeves

I concur. When you frame Wiggy's perverted selfish actions in context there is no question as to his courage.

Years ago one of the AVPs brought to Wig's attention that people had noticed he was always scratching his genitals. He was surprised and said he never realized what he was doing. Yes, he never noticed that his hands were in his pocket, moving around scratching his genitals and he never heard the noise of his keys and coins moving around in his pockets.

Maybe he can use that excuse in court. He can say he never noticed the contract with Auto Alliance was violated or he never noticed the AVP was walking out of her branch with hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Wiggington who I affectionately refer to as scratchy, is really courageous. He has balls..........that he scratches and i agree, so brave.

This is a real conversation between Wiggington and the old card specialist that place in 2008. The conversation took place in the loan department in front of 5 of us. This was one of several conversations he had with the specialist out in the open, in front of other staff.

WIGGINGTON: I should of fired Whitney. She wasn't doing anything. I'm watching her and when the time is right, she's out the door too.

CARD SPECIALIST: If she was that bad, why did you promote her to Lead Teller and let her transfer to the L.A. branch?

WIGGINGTON: Ah, good question. I'll have to think about that. I was going to fire Lynnette but Mrs. Irving and the board made me promote her to AVP. If it wasn't for Janice (Irving), I would have fired her too. I don't want "Harris'" people working for me. I don't trust any of them. That's why I got rid of Maggie.

CARD SPECIALIST: I thought you laid her off because her position was phased out.

WIGGINGTON: Well, yes, we didn't need her because you and the other staff are now the marketing committee which means we don't need the old marketing department. But the other reason I got rid of her is because she was promoted by "my predecessor." She was loyal to him not me plus she is the one that wrote that letter to the attorney about Liz kiting. Because of her I had to fire Liz.

CARD SPECIALIST: But if Liz was kiting, that's against the law, isn't it?

WIGGINGTON: Yes, but I could have given her a written warning instead of firing her.

CARD SPECIALIST: I heard that the letter was sent anonymously.

WIGGINGTON: That's true. The person that wrote it didn't even have the balls to sign it.

CARD SPECIALIST: Then how do you know Maggie wrote it?

WIGGINGTON: I just know.

Mahatma, Is Woggy actually scratching his balls or is he massaging his whole "package" like a serial masturbator?

Wigg is so sttttuuuppppiiiidddddd. I know who exposed Liz and it wasn't Maggie. What Liz Camposdid was a federal offense and she could have been prosecuted... She should have been prosecuted but she wasn't because you have dishonest, corrupt, policy breaker RodgerSmock violating policy and covering up for management and the credit union is headed by a sexual harasser, car thief, slanderer, and liar who is also protected by Diedra Harris Brooks who hides evidence of wrong doing and spends crediunion money like its her personal piggy.bank.

This is a house of cards that's been falling little by little. A few years ago they get screwed by one of their contracted auto brokers who made off with thousands of dollars and now they supposedly screw over another auto broker. In both cases, Wiggington was involved. In the first, Wiggington and Henry Justice were best of friends before the broker was introduced to the credit union and the fact that Justice made off with the credit union had not effect on their friendship. In the second, Wiggington threw Auto Alliance out and after he did he told the staff to push business to Universal Auto. Is that why Auto Alliance is suing? If so, then its true, Wiggington stopped sending them business.

I have a question that has nothing to do with this post. Why didn't the credit union call the police on Lynnette when they concluded she stole more than $1 million? I saw her recently and she looked good and she never mentioned anything that happened at the credit union. I would be losing sleep if I had stolen money but she's not affected. At least that's what it looks like.

I worked with Liz Campos and she was not only an awful manager but she was lazy and dishonest. She lived in La Verne and would have to drive to Burbank each day. Without ever telling Mr Harris and later, Wiggles, she made up her own schedule. She'd get to work at 10 am and she'd leave by 3 pm. She always said if she didn't leave by 3 pm she'd get caught in traffic. She got lucky when we were at Burbank because she contracted a dealer who referred anyone that needed financing to our office. When she used to do her monthly reports, she always put down that she went out and got car loans but that was a lie, the dealer referred all those people to us. Even though she was the worst, Wiggles promoted her and that's when she got a major attitude. She never imagined that someone was going to expose her of kiting which should have got her prosecuted but Wiggles protects crooks like himself.

I just finished reading your earliest posts. You guys were spot on when you described what was going to happen if Wiggington wasn't stopped. Do you guys have a crystal ball? That mess with Inland Counties was so sorrowfully handled and the fact that Wiggington, who made a bigger mess of the problem, could turn around and blame Mr Harris is amazing and childish. This is a problem with Wiggington, he never takes responsibility for his actions and then, he victimizes employees. He destroyed marketing, he destroyed business development, he destroyed employee morale, and he damaged profitability. He really should have considered a career in demolitions. That's actually where he should of worked.

He's been the worst president the credit union has ever had but the person behind all his abuses is Diedra Harris Brooks. She's cost the credit union its money and its reputation and its because of her, they're being sued.

I knew they were being sued by TWHC but wan't aware about Auto Alliance. Auto Alliance was Bea's baby and right after she got fired, Wiggington had their desk taken away. He's really out of control emotionally and he wanted all memory erased of her. He hand-picked her to help him get rid of employees he thought were blogging about him and second, to do his work. Not do some of his work, to do all of his work. Wiggington is unbelievably lazy. He didn't realize when he hired her that she was going to try to take his job and for a little while it looked like she was going to be the next president and she probably could of been if she'd been black. So when he finally was able to get her off his back, he wanted to erase all memory of her like she'd never been there. So the first one he got rid of was Auto Alliance. If Auto Alliance is claiming that he broke the agreement then they probably do have a case. Bea told employees to start referring members to Auto Alliance but they continued to refer people to Universal Auto. She never did any follow up to make sure they were referring people to her broker. Then after she got fired, Wiggington told employees not to refer members to Auto Alliance so if the agreement was still in effect and if it said he would be referring members to them, well then he broke the agreement. That's easy to verify though I think most of the staff that were there in 2010 are gone now. They can be subpoenaed.

Anonymous said...

I forgot about Auto Alliance. There used to be another dealership too but Universal the original broker is still there. I don't think Wiggington has screwed them over though back in 2010, he started distancing himself from them even though they had done a great job for the credit union for many years.

Wiggles chose not to send business over to Auto Alliance as per the agreement but he was so excited to get business going with Henry Justice the owner of Justice Auto even though Henry made off with more than $80,000 of credit union just a few years earlier. I was one of three DMV specialists that went to DMV month after month having to get temporary registration cards for the members that Justice and Wiggington screwed over. Justice got our money and then refused to surrender the pink slips. We needed the pink slips to get the registrations but because he wouldn't surrender the pinks we had to go month after to DMV and none of the 4 members were happy. They were all very upset. Some of them got pulled over by police because apparently not all police are familiar with the little tacky temp registration that goes on the window. One of the member's husbands even made a scene at the old Marina Del Rey office complaining loudly in front of members about how the credit union screwed him and his wife over. I know Wiggington will always point fingers at Henry, his friend, and say he had nothing to do with what Henry Justice did but he brought Henry to the credit union and after Henry robbed us, he tries to bring him back. No wonder Priority One has sunk so low.

I've heard that they're concerned that a lot of their case is contingent on what the credit union intends to say at the hearing. CUMIS was a lot more sure about their case when they first filed their lawsuit and after their own auditor found "evidence" that showed Turner, Warren, Hwang and Conrad had made some major mistakes in their audits, they provided the evidence to the credit union who counter-sued. Now with Wiggington's reputation out in the open again and questions about the supervisory committee's abilities to safeguard assets, CUMIS is worried about an embarrassing trial. They should have thought of that when the credit union filed a claim for $1 million and they should of thought of that when they cut a check for more than $980,000 against the claim. If you go back and look at the annual reports for 2010-2011 and 2012, Cornelia Simmons, the supervisory committee chair says year after year that everything is safe and the credit union is sound. She said that when money was being stolen in 2010 and she said that again, when money was being stolen in 2011 and she said it again, when money was being stolen in 2012.

I'd still like to know why the credit union is not going after Lynnette Fortson if she in fact made off with more than $1 million. Did they call the police and have her arrested when they discovered she supposedly stole the money? If not, why not? This whole thing is looking so suspicious. Isn't stealing $1 million a federal offense? Does anyone know if Wiggington's been investigated? He could have stolen the money as easy as Lynnette. After all, they say she altered the vault books but Accounting oversees the books and the Supervisory Committee makes sure money is protected. That all done on paper. So how does anyone know that Wiggington didn't manipulate the books and make off with the money? Is there anything this clown has done these past 8 years that screams "trustworthy"?

That credit union needs a thorough audit that looks deep into all of the credit union's books. You're right, all these lawsuits and accusations but no mention of Lynnette. Notice Wiggington and the Board are not going after her. Why?

Anonymous said...

The lawsuit filed by Auto Alliance is really interesting because in the past, Wiggington though little about all of the automobile brokers but this one actually turned and retaliated.

I have to agree about the comments regarding Lynnette Fortson. Why wasn't she arrested when the credit union collected evidence she stole the money? Its a federal offense and arresting the person who robbed the credit union is what every business does. so why didn't the credit union do it? Are they afraid that if they had her arrested that more evidence might be discovered during an investigation that might prove there have been other internal thefts maybe even committed by the executives? Its suspicious and members should demand answers from the credit union's dishonest board.

Fred Sanford said...

URumor has it Lynette has a cozy relationship with several key P1 bigwigs even after she left P1. Of course, she's tucked all the money ($1 million) away in a safe hiding place. To cover her I'll-gotten gains she's kickedback a portion of it to "friends" who looked the other way while her theft/scheme occurred. Who are these these so-called "friends" is something we'd all like to know.

BTW I recently saw Lynette at Olive Garden munching on an endless pasta plate. She said she's doing great and is going to have a lavish party once the trial is over.

Anonymous said...

@Fred Sanford: You know, I believe you. It makes no sense that she supposedly makes off with more than $1 million in cash and nothing happens to her. She's not arrested, she hasn't been indicted and she's even filed bankruptcy. Whey didn't they call the police? Does she know something about Wiggington and the Board that they're afraid will come out if they go after her? Maybe that's why they let CUMIS go after her, but CUMIS seems to have stepped away and instead are going after TWHC because as someone posted a few months ago, TWHC has money whereas Lynnette will never admit she stole the money or where she stashed it. Someone I know, saw her on Crenshaw at the mall and they told me she seemed great, even happy. Guess I'd be happy to if I stole more than $1 million and no one had me arrested.

Anonymous said...

I wish we could take a vote of all readers to see how many believe Wiggington has had something to do with thefts at the credit union. He's either the most negligent president at any credit union, a criminal genius or plain old stupid.

Anonymous said...

@Fred Sanford

I ran into Lynette at Roscoe's on Manchchester. She was wolfing down a 1/2 chicken plate with a side of chicken livers smothered in gravy, which reminded me if Wiggy, along with a full stack of buckwheat waffles. When she saw me she got a huge grin on her face and told me things could not be better, especially since she is no longer working at P1. She certainly appeared to be living large without a care in the world. Then she said something odd, with a sly smile she said "say Hi to Charles because without him I wouldn't be as well off as I am."

LOL

Fat Burgers and Roscoe's must be Wiggington's and Lynnette's restaurants of choice.

If I was Lynnette I would have taken that $1 million and opened a Fat Burgers. It would have made her money needed to get an attorney and it would have shown Wiggington and the stupid Board how to make money grow. I never thought Lynnette was very bright. She was lazy like Wiggington, a braggart like Wiggington, rude and mean like Wiggington but calculating enough to steal more than a million dollars, never. I mean nnnnneeeeeeevvvvvvveeeeeerrrrrrrr!!!!! If she took the money, she showed those dumb asses at the credit union and that includes Rodger Smock, Robert West and the no longer employed, Yvonne Boutte, that she was smarter than their whole herd combined.

Anonymous said...

I know this is hard to believe -- I can hardly believe it myself -- but I had a fleeting glimpse of Wiggy and Lynette quickly leaving Fat Burger together a week ago. Let me explain. As I was ordering at the counter I heard a commotion. As I turned around I glanced Wiggy & Lynette rapidly gathering their combo meals, and then they rushed out the door as fast as they could. I can only figure they recognized me and decided to clear out before I positively ID'd them. I have no doubt these two are up to nothing good. And I bet it has something to do with the missing million.

Anonymous said...

LOL. Lynette might have met him to warn him tha if the credit union tries going after her she'll turn states evidence against them and tell the Feds why he and Diedra are always playing with the books. By the way, whatever happened to the $15 million the credit union got when they merged with Inland Counties?

Anonymous said...

Wasn't Wiggington's uncle with him? You know, the one who likes to watch.

Anonymous said...

I think the one holding the power is Lynnette. I never thought of her as particularly bright plus she was so ghetto and she was awful with some of her staff but whoever would have thought that she could walk out of the branch with $1 million in cash? I personally don't believe she stole the money. I dont' see how she could of taken the money because-

1. How could one person walk in and out of the branch taking tens of thousands of dollars without ever being observed by any of the many employees that worked at the LAPDC?

2. To enter the vault at any branch requires double-custody. You mean to tell me that the 2 FSR's and receptionist who sat right in front of the vault never noticed that Lynnette was going into the vault BY HERSELF?

3. How did she remove the money from the vault? Even $5000 would be difficult to walk out with. Did she enter the vault with a bag or big purse? If she did, wouldn't that seem suspicious?

4. The accounting department reviews all ledgers and they keep a record of how much cash is sent to branches and how much is received from branches. Was Lynnette so clever that she adjusted records so that not one person in accounting ever noticed a discrepancy with the cash? Or did accounting not do their job?

5. The supervisory committee is supposed to oversee security. Each year they say that security is great and there are no problems. How did they miss the thefts? A few months ago, Wiggington said that TWHC didn't notice the thefts and so the supervisory committee didn't know. But that's stupid because TWHC only does an end-of-year audit unless they're hired to do more. Who at the credit union does the audits for the other 11 months?

This is all to say that Lynnette was never that smart and if she could walk out with $1 million then she's a criminal mastermind. And has anyone looked at Wiggington and Diedra? For years these two have been abusing credit union money. Diedra went to Las Vegas on an educational trip for the board and spent her time in the casino and hotel bar. She and the board approve annual raises and bonuses to a president who's caused millions in losses and hundreds of thousands on attorneys and wasted spending on remodeling, hiring horrible executives who he ends up firing, and on remodeling that should never have been a priority. So what else could Wiggington and Diedra have done that none of us know about?

Anonymous said...

Now that you mention it there was a third person with them at Fat Burger. As Wiggy and Lynette hightailed outta Fat Burger what appeared to be Wigg's uncle did a slow shuffle out the front door as he quickly finished slurping his strawberry shake.

Anonymous said...

I'm surprised Henry Justice didn't joint them. After all, he made of with $60,000 of credit union money and he's also Wiggington's long-time buddy.

L. R. Hubbard said...

Wiggy's uncle is contractually bound for a billion years to accompany Wiggy every time he walks into a Fat Burger; like a Scientologist.

Patrice said...

@L.R. Hubbard

I can attest to the fact that every time I see Wiggy at Fat Burger his uncle is accompanying him.

Anonymous said...

Wiggington has such an interesting family. He drags his father to Fat Burger, like in the cas of Patrice Polly and his son got arrested for selling meth while dad is a sexual harasser.

Mahatma Kane Jeeves said...

Yes it's a Trifecta! Wiggy drags the uncle to Fat Burger in an attempt to sexually harass Patrice as he ostensibly arranges to assist her in obtaining an auto loan, when in fact, he only wants to get into her panties; then he caps his shameful behavior by refusing to help his meth-addicted son in his time of need.

Anonymous said...

I sense someone is going to get a Father of the Year award. He should already have one of those "#1 Boss" cups on his desk.

Anonymous said...

Trifecta. What an appropriate use of the word. You have Wiggington who is a sexual harasser and his son, who is a convicted drug dealer and you have an uncle who tags along just for the fun. I can't think of anything more boring than to accompany Wiggles to Fat Burgers.

Anonymous said...

You think that's boring, you ought be in a meeting with him while he talks about his childhood or one of junkie old BMW's or about some subject that you have no interest in. Enough to make you gag.

Anonymous said...

I have to admit that lately, he's quieter at times. He does say business is great but no employee believes him but I think the lawsuits have made him a lot less talkative.

Anonymous said...

Maybe he's quieter because overhead is way too high and new loans and new memberships aren't high enough. Also, loan delinquencies are going up again since he fired Yvonne. I guess aside from her unbearable nagging, vicious gossiping, royal backstabbing etc. she actually brought delinquencies down. Alex better be careful because if she thinks Wiggington is going to keep her no matter what, then she better look at how he backstabbed Bea, Cindy, Joseph, Yvonne, Dane, and Aaron.

Chief Jay Strongbow said...

I've been racking my brain for a while now as to why Wiggy hasn't been fired or tarred and feathered. After all, the Board has more than enough evidence to demonstrate he's an incompetent who allowed Lynette to steal $1 million, a sexual harasser and a BMW thief. He's also an incessant ball scratching, gravy sopping, lazy loudmouth bore who continues to eat with a wide-open yap as he chomps his food.

So why is he still employed?

Theory #[ - Wiggy REALLY does have those rumored dirt dossiers on the Board that he uses to threaten each and every one of them.

Theory #2 - The quality most admired by Slappy White lookalike Diedra and her goon Board is HYPOCRISY - a trait Wiggy has in spades.

Any other theories as to why Wiggy hasn't been terminated?

@ Chief Jay Strongbow

It's incredible, isn't it? I've spoken to officers of credit unions who read this blog and they too can't understand why Wiggngton wasn't fired. I guess there's a lot of person who'd like to see him tarred and feathered, shot out of a canyon, shot to the moon, thrown into the mid-Pacific, etc. People throughout the industry also can't understand why members haven't filed complaints to the DFI asking for the board's removal. The one that should be removed is Diedra. Do you know that Diedra contacted Google and asked that they shut down the blog because her name appears in it. They told her no.

The theft of $1 million is impossible to explain. How did it happen? You know that even if TWHC was negligent, they were only their for end of year audits so who, at the credit union was making sure security was in place? Where was Wiggington? Where was the board? Where was the Supervisory Committee? Where was the internal auditor? Where was the accounting department? Where were Bea Walker and later Cindy Garvin and after that, Yvonne Boutte?

Probably one of the few things Wiggington is good at is incessant ball scratching, gravy sopping, stealing a member's car, sexual harassment and being a loud mouth. Maybe he has dossiers on the Board. Maybe without him, Diedra couldn't be the unofficial CEO.

Anonymous said...

@ Raadkin: Are you spam? Or are you competing against P1? Looks like offer more types of loans than the credit union.

Chief Jay Strongbow said...

Wow! That's the first I've heard Diedra contacted Google to have them shut down this blog. Did dumbass Diedra contact Microsoft's Bill Gates or former HP CEO Carly Fiorina, too? What about Trump or Obama.

If Diedra REALLY wants to shut down this blog I suggest she contact Al Gore, the inventor of the Internet!

Anonymous said...

Old Stupid, my nickname for always dishonest conniving, Diedra Elaine Harris-Brooks, told the member who's personal and loan information that was published by someone in credit resolutions (likely Yvonne Boutte or Alex Suarez) that she called Google and requested they shut down the blog because of the comments people were posting about her.

Now you got to remember that back in 2009, Wiggington and Manny Gaitmaitan, the old CFO, drove down to the credit union's attorneys office in Glendale to ask him to shut down the blog but the posts fall under freedom of speech and when they were asked if what was being published was true, both Charles and Manny said yes it was. I know this because I was working in accounting at the time and Manny told us what the attorney said.

Maybe Diedra would have less negative things written about her if she chose to obey the law and maybe wasn't so filthy. When the investigator told the board that he collected evidence that proved Charles Wiggington sexually harassed a former employee and when the same investigator recommended he be fired, it was Diedra who tried to squash the evidence and instead got stupid old dishonest, O. Glen Saffold, Thomas Gathers and Cornelia Simmons to vote for Wiggington to get reinstated. Only Mrs. Irving and Mr. Marchica voted to have him fired.

And back in 2007, when the auditor discovered Liz Campos, an AVP was kiting, she should have been arrested, booked and prosecuted but Diedra said no and let her get fired and Diedra and Wiggington didn't report her to states so that her crime would go on record.

So, yes, Diedra hates her name being published but everything that's written about that witch is 100% true and she knows it and so does Wiggington.

Yes, Jay Strongbow, she needs to get Al Gore on the line.

Anonymous said...

Poor Diedra. She lies, she helps ruin the credit union and she hides evidence that Charlie Wigglesbottom took possession of a member's automobile without paying a cent, sexually harassed a former employee and caused the credit union to spend hundreds of thousands on "legal", but she takes offense when people chide her. Boo hoo.

Anonymous said...

Crybaby Diedra gets picked on for shielding Wiggy. It almost makes you feel sorry for the way she's called out on this blog........NOT!

John Rodarte said...

It's absolutely true, that Mrs. Harris-Brooks did contact Google requesting they shut down the blog. We learned she was upset by our disclosures and possibly even more incensed by the comments made by this blog's readers. She reiterated her experience to former member, Nylonda Sharnese, though it is our opinion that her statement to the member was merely a manipulative attempt by Diedra to placate the member and diffuse her complaint that someone at the credit union had published information about her credit union automobile loan and about her person.

If Mrs. Harris-Brooks was trying to manipulate the member, her ploy failed. The member filed a lawsuit which got the immediate attention of the entire Board and the President. Mrs. Harris-Brooks, the President and Yvonne Boutte who tried to strong arm the former member into submission, learned that Ms. Sharnese is a law student and extremely knowledgeable about her rights and what recourse was available to her against the credit union. These are the reasons why Mrs. Harris-Brooks moved to quickly settle the lawsuit filed by Miss Sharnese.

Mrs. Harris-Brooks has amassed a long and well-documented record showing that she defies laws and it is she, who has most enabled President Wiggington's abuses and violations of laws. We think the fact that more than 7 lawsuits have been filed against Priority One Credit union speak to the abuses and violations of the President and Mrs. Brooks. As a reader posted, maybe she should contact Al Gore.

@Chief Strongbow

Chief, Can you assist egomaniac Diedra in getting in touch with the inventor of the Internet Al Gore? She's desperate to shut down this blog.

Anonymous said...

A summation of her skills which used to be published each time her seat on the Board came up for re-election states she was enrolled in "computer classes" while attending the University of Phoenix. I have every confidence in Diedra, that using her keen skills, she'll easily find Al Gore.

Anonymous said...

I never understood what Diedra meant that she studied computers at college. What exactly did she study? Was she a hacker?

Anonymous said...

She isn't a hacker. Hackers are smart.

Anonymous said...

Diedra proudly claims to anyone who will listen to her bullshit that she went ro the University of Phoenix. In reality she attempted to take a correspondence course from the so-called University of Phoenix (a for-profit sham school). She never finished any on-line courses. Oops, I wasn't supposed to reveal that. It's kind of like Wiggy claiming he's a gourmet chef cause he likes gravy sopping.

Anonymous said...

You're right because in her bio she never says she graduated or what degree she earned. And what did she mean by she studied computer classes? Do you need computer classes to be a phone sex operator?

Anonymous said...

I thought Wiggles was a food taster.

Anonymous said...

I thought he was a dominitrix because he was always offering to whip ass.

Anonymous said...

Let's get this straight. Diedra is the dominatrix and Wiggy is her slave. Rodger is the kinky eunuch in the corner who gets his kicks from watching.

Anonymous said...

Is Wiggington a slave? Well, he has caused Priority One to regress, so I guess he's also taken us back 200 years. Rodger is only a eunuch around heterosexuals but him in a crowd of young Latino boys and he's no eunuch.

Chief Jay Strongbow said...

Wiggy is a sentimentalist. Yes, every November and December Wiggy gets teary-eyed not because it's a time for family reunions where his wife, son and relatives get-together (especially with his Fat Burger-loving uncle). No, he gets nostalgic because on Thanksgiving and Xmas he serves up a huge turkey with loads of extra turkey drippings gravy -- making sure he has enough leftover gravy for some serious SOPPING.

Anonymous said...

You can't but wonder what stories he's going to make-up when in court, to explain how one AVP allegedly walked out with $1 million in cash. It must be a dozy.

I do believe that witch, Diedra, might have to also testify which might just be worth seeing. And Cornelia who is as interesting as a dirty sock, is going to have to explain how her committee of supervisors never realized monies were stolen. I'd like to know why she said everything was just fine during the May annual meeting. The woman is either stupid, a liar or brain dead.

Anonymous said...

@@Chief Jay Strongbow

I agree. Wiggy cannot get enough gravy. No question about it, Wiggy loves sopping.

hannibal lecter said...

@ Chief Jay Strongbow

You're right, Wiggy is a sentimentalist. He's sentimental at Halloween, because it brings back memories of scaring the neighborhood kids back when he lived in Indiana (pronounced Annapolis).

And you're absolutely correct, its not so much the holidays or family but the food and in particular, the gravy. He has often been seen staring at the gravy bowl and in a hushed voice saying "I can't wait to sop you up. You have no idea what I am going to do you. If you had an ass, I'd whip it, because that's what you want." Of course, some people claim they've seen him whipping the turkey's ass.

Professor Tar and Feather said...

@Chief Jay Strongbow

You're 100% spot-on, Chief.

Yes, this is the time of year Wiggy gets nostalgic. He fondly remembers the time he got away with stealing a member's BMW so he could keep it for himself.

Wiggy does his best to remember (it's hard nowadays due to early on-set Alzheimer's) the time he and his lecherous Uncle lured innocent Patrice to a "loan counseling session" at Fat Burger, when in fact, the sole purpose of the meeting was to "double-team" Patrice, a member who only wanted to obtain a loan. Even Subway's Jared knows this kind of sneaky calculated behavior is sexual harassment.

And Wiggy gets especially weepy when he ponders lots of year-end gravy sopping.

Anonymous said...

Things Wiggles is nostalgic about:

1. The days when he could take possession of member vehicles without paying a penny. Fraud never felt so good.

2. The days when he had an administrative assistant that he could abuse and harass.

3. He misses using phrases like "I'm going to whip that ass" and "I wanna sop you up like gravy."

4. Targeting beautiful members who he thought he would have sex with if he gave them special favors like loans they were ineligible for.

5. Treks to Fat Burgers. He really thinks Fat Burgers is the perfect place for power lunches and clandestine meetings that violate ethics.

Ah, good times, good times.

Anonymous said...

Why Fat Burgers and not Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles?

Anonymous said...

Poor Wiggles. I've been reading the earliest posts. How did the board ever elect this scumbag to be president? He was obviously a horrible VP. I don't want to put down postal workers because so many are actually nice people, but this board is made up of post office scum. I know from people who knew Diedra when she worked at the LAPDC that she was rude, snobby, pushy and condescending. When she retired, no one missed her. Then she comes to priority one and brought all her ghetto habits to what used to be great credit union.

Anonymous said...

Diedra is the problem. Always has been. She knows everything that Wig does. She let him get away with sexual harassment. She was angry to when they had to fire Liz who was kiting because if it had been up to her, she would have kept Liz. She knew he lied and blamed Alan when it was Wig who let all those envelopes go out with people's personal information printed on the outside. She knew when he targeted employee and made up stories that got them fired. She knew Bea was harassing the Valencia branch manager and she got made when the branch manager complained. Diedra is pure evil. Mr Harris knew how to control her but Wig owes her because she covered up for him and let him get away with sexual harassment. She's the devil.
